About this class

A knock-out workout part Kickboxing, part Mat Pilates, and part Yoga!  A Pilates ProWorks original, matBox is a powerful workout that starts with a round of high-intensity kickboxing with a punching bag. Then, the gloves come off and you hit the mat for a round of Pilates to strengthen your core. The final round incorporates Yoga to leave you aligned, balanced and fully invigorated. The result is a balanced mix of high-energy and focused intensity that tones, aligns and blasts calories. *No fighting or physical contact. Hand wraps and gloves required. Please arrive 10 minutes early to get your gear on.

How to prepare

For PILATES classes, grippy socks are required (sold in studio). For MATBOX please have gloves, wraps, and socks. Wraps may be purchased in studio for $10. Gloves may be purchased in studio for $35. Rental gloves are also available for $2. For BOOTCAMP classes, please wear sneakers.

How to get there

Street parking only. Please arrive early to class. No admittance to class after 10 minutes.

AMAZING!!! Hands down the best fitness class I’ve ever taken in my life. Kate is so motivational and encouraging, always offering different options for each move she demos. She has been boxing for years so you’re truly learning from an expert. Whether your a boxing pro or a newbie, you’ll feel so bomb coming out of this class.

Wish we did more boxing and less weight drills. The weight portion didn’t keep me sweating/wasn’t very hard. More boxing please!

RUN, don’t walk to this class. Such a fun, dynamic 50 minute class. Where do I begin) Mackenna is amazing and will motivate you and kick your wee at the same time. The class will fly by as you spend the first 35 minutes boxing and the last 15 minutes doing Pilates. Efficient. Sweaty af. Amazing. Pro tips: bring sticky socks; you can’t wear shoes. Come early if you’re new!

This was literally the BEST instructor I’ve ever had at Pilates Pro Works. I’m a loyal Class Passer, but I’m honestly considering keeping my current Class Pass subscription AND getting a Pilates Pro class pack. This instructor was motivational, friendly and clearly was a boxing pro. I can’t wait to come back and take Kate’s class!

What is ClassPass?
