About this studio

Ritual Hot Yoga is NOT your typical yoga studio, offering students the most luxurious, body-sculpting, mind-bending yoga experience in the industry. Ritual Hot Yoga is a unique style of fast-paced hot yoga that links the breath to the beat of the music. This all-levels class is 50-minutes, incorporating yoga philosophy, static postures, choreographed flows, yin, meditation, and a cool eucalyptus towel massage. Two teachers conduct every class. The lead teacher guiding the progression of the class and the assisting teacher providing hands-on adjustments.

I got super nauseated with both incense burning... i dont want to be inhaling smoke while working out, can we not have that during class and if so, can we do oils instead?, i also dont like it when the doors are opened. Isnt this suppose to be hot yoga?
Indie Folk with Morgan
Loved the switch up with music today! Im usually not into Indie but Morgan always has such a great taste in music hat I really enjoyed the flow to the music. Wonderful assist especially for certain poses we tend to forget to align our hips (ie: warrior 3, standing splits.)
Ritual Yin with Sam
This was probably my favorite class I have ever taken at Ritual!
Ritual Hot Yoga with Morgan
This is unfortunately the worst yoga class I have ever been to. Its so dark that its nearly impossible to have visual cues from the room or balance effectively, yet the series is full of balancing postures. The sequence is extremely fast, and the music is so loud that its very hard to hear the instructor. The strategy of using 4 levels to cue moves is not only oddly competitive, its very confusing. I found myself routinely forgetting to breathe as I struggled to hear the cues and keep up with the flow. As a vinyasa yoga practitioner and teacher for well over 10 years, I simply cant see how this is yoga at all. If you are interested in the novelty of doing aerobics in a dark heated room, however, you may like it.

Ive been to more than 120 classes on CP at dozens of studios- and this is my first negative review. Deeply problematic class experience. The studio was so busy that they failed to orient students new to hot yoga. One ended up doing the entire class without a mat. And the studio was so dark that one had to be lead to an empty space, as if blind. That flow was so fast that, in the dark, there was no way to see others or get alignment right. It was never clear who the instructor was. You just cant have a super crowded, super fast class in total darkness and call it all level and At least three people left ranting about what an awful experience it was. (Individual folks there seem nice- hence two stars- its the overall class structure thats deeply flawed and possibly dangerous.)

Not enough time in between classes for new students to be introduced / prepared for the class. I was sent in to a pitch black room with no towel mat making me unable to actually follow along.
