About this studio

Welcome to San Francisco's last real boxing gym. While other gyms "build" clientele, 3rd Street builds warriors! Their 60-minute Classes offer a range of cardio drills, boxing technique, partner and mitt work, body weight exercises, strength and conditioning, and more - you’ll never get bored. And they have up to 6 classes a day to fit your schedule! Please note, all new clients must take both Beginner Boxing 1 and 2 before jumping into any other boxing class. Still need convincing on why boxing is a great workout for you?... 1) It's an amazing workout! 2) It helps you de-stress! 3) It’s great for your mind! 4) It’s fun! 5) There’s so much to do! 6) It’s safe! 7) It's for everyone! How to prepare

PLEASE NOTE: Everyone must take both “Beginner Boxing 1” and “Beginner Boxing 2” before any other boxing classes. These classes introduce you to our punch system, will help prevent injuries, and ensure the best experience for you and others, so they are required (even if you’ve boxed at other gyms previously)! EQUIPMENT IS NOT INCLUDED with your ClassPass reservation. You can rent or buy at the front desk, or bring your own :)

How to get there

Located at 2576 3rd Street in San Francisco's historic Dogpatch neighborhood, between 22nd and 23rd Streets. Street parking only. Readily accessible via the Muni T Line.

Overall good workout. Enjoyed the variety. Various weight amounts for different levels and difficulty adjustments would be good. Biggest suggestion is keep timing accurate. Making 30 seconds actually be 30 seconds keeps the workout on point.

There were some good exercises and it was a nicely challenging workout and also super nice people in the class and at the front desk. Love that is a no-nonsense vibe in the gym. However, didn’t think the instructor put a whole lot of thought or effort into programming... doing explosive movements like rope slams w/ jump lunge or burpees with high knees jump or quick feet ladder drills dont seem like effective exercises to do for a full minute without a rest set before or after. Great exercises to go hard at in HIIT- but these weren’t intervals, they were just long sets without rest. The rest of the class was pretty solid though.
