Zumba with Alejandra
Very slow class. Instructor was consistently off beat and messed up steps frequently. Fairly low energy class. Odd layout where classroom is open to the gym and stairs so that people working out in the other part of the gym have to cross through the classroom floor. On the plus side, the music selection was great.
Pilates Mat with Thalia
description indicated it would be a floor/mat pilates class, low-impact. It was not. ended up using the adjoining gym space to do my own workout so wasn't a total loss, but instructor was pretty rude about the misunderstanding. front desk lady was kind and said she'd update the description of the class so others would know.
Hatha Yoga with Walter
Walter is an amazing! Wonderful yoga class!! Im coming back!!
Pilates Mat with Renee
There was a substitute instructor who didn't really know what she was doing. She was lovely, but this was definitely not Pilates- more like a stretch class. Very good with accommodating injuries and different levels, however!
Low Impact Body Conditioning with Jemima
Jemima was tough on us for a class thats low-impact. It was nice though because I really did feel like I had a good workout! You should probably have familiarity with kickboxing, Pilates, yoga, jazzercize, and CrossFit. Otherwise, it might be more tough to follow along with the instructor. Fun class nonetheless!
LiveFit (HIIT) with Jessica
This was a good class, small in size (only 3 of us on a Monday at 6 a.m.) and was a ladder workout of about 12 moves starting at 16 reps each. It was challenging but you could go at your own pace as well. I wish the instructor had shown modifications and gone through more of the moves in case you are new to them and reading the name on a board isn't enough to know what to do. Overall, good class and would do again.
Group Yoga with Hailey
Really really good yoga sequence. Walked away feeling renewed and excited about my yoga journey. Talented instructor!
BodyShred with Mae
I typically come here when I want to use the sauna and steam room (which is at least $30 at the Asian spas) and since they no longer offer the drop in gym classes on ClassPass, I attended a class. It was basically like a circuit set up and timed, and not like a boutique fitness class, wish it was a bit more upbeat and intense (this class caters to all ability levels). I dont think the caliber of class is worth the # of points but combined with facilities its pretty good
Pilates Mat with Thalia
Good if youre looking for something slow/low-impact/not too difficult, but was disappointing for me!! Instructor should have people do things for a length of time, not a number, since that leads to either waiting around or doing extra but constantly looking around to not hold the class up, etc. Instructor was nice and made comments on form which was appreciated. Only caveat is that her form when demonstrating push-ups was really bad - elbows waaaay out wide!!!
Pilates Mat with Jemima
Great beginners class
