Pilates Mat with Denice
This gym is located next to the Tonga Room inside the hotel. The locker room is pretty nice, but the class space is a little awkward since when you walk down the stairs you’re basically inside it. Denice was super nice and our class only had three students. We did mat Pilates using balls as props. I had not done Pilates in a long time and this class made me remember why I love it. It’s fun and relaxing and all those small movements count. The hour flew by! The one big drawback was the music - it was Muzak type music of mostly pop hits, although they did throw in the Game or Thrones theme in there too. It was annoying enough that I even would have preferred no music, and I’m big on music during workouts. It sounded like we were in an elevator for a whole hour. Music aside, great class and I’ll be back!

Group Yoga with Hailey
LOVED this class. Instructor was incredibly great. Loved the aromatherapy. I’m a beginner yoga student and I felt incredibly comfortable. Will return doing this class. Loved it !!

It all came together together today. Peace and almost quiet in the studio. And as before, instructor paced to the group well.

The class was excellent and would be five stars except that there was an adjacent workout room where loud hip hop music was playing and it made it difficult to get into a serene place

The instructor was lovely but the class is very low impact and I don’t feel I got a workout in (more like a lot of stretching and some core work). Also, the gym is tiny and you can hear noise from Tonga and The Fairmont. The front desk attendant was less than impressive. Won’t come back again.

Very slow. The folks in the class were older (most seemed over 50) and the class was paced for them. Thats absolutely fair but I do feel that the description should have made this clear. Really wasnt much of a workout
