What really stands out is how attentive and patient she is. She takes the time to greet everyone, remembers names, and makes sure each person feels seen and supported, no matter their fitness level. Barbell Basics

Class was pretty good and Mike is a great instructor. This was my second time taking Barbell Basics at The Yard. I liked that Mike planned a warm-up and a stretch on the turf. My first class was with Therese and we didn't do a warm-up or stretch after conditioning. The class takes place on the first floor in a small area off the entrance; you don't use the pods upstairs for this class. Both classes I've taken have consisted of 2 blocks, 2-3 exercises in each block, 4-5 rounds of each exercise. You don't actually use the barbells for the whole class; other equipment like dumbbells or kettlebells are also used. In the first class I took, we used the barbells for one exercise in each block (2 blocks), and in this class we used the barbells for only one of the total 4 exercises we did. The class size is small, so you get more personalized coaching, but the space only has 2 racks, so you share with other clients and have to wait your turn. I think it's a great class for beginners or people who like to take it slow, focus on form and workout in a small group. You choose your weight, so you can push yourself and get in a great workout even with the slower pace of the class (I personally don't like fast reps or fast paced lifting class. I like lifting heavy and doing fewer reps, working harder in a shorter amount of time. So I think the pace of class is perfect, even if you're not a beginner). But, I wouldn't call it a barbell class, since you're not using the barbells for each exercise. If you take these classes regularly, you'd get a taste of lifting with the barbells, but it's not the focus of the class, so it's a bit misleading. I would definitely recommend Mike's class, though, and I would take class again just not often.

I’m a new SF resident, so I joined ClassPass a few months ago to explore gym options in the area. I tried CrossFit Alinea and a couple other gyms in the area but this gym quickly became my favorite and the only one I book now. I’ve taken their Build classes as well as CrossFit classes and both are very fun and intentionally programmed. Coaches Tom and Jennifer are some of the most professional and humble coaches I’ve ever met (there are other coaches here but I’ve only taken classes with these two). They both welcome me every time I walk in, address me by my name (at other gyms, my name was just dude or bro -__-), and ensure I am moving safely and efficiently. Music great. Vibes great. Excellent equipment selection. Clean facilities. Grateful to have found my new home gym through ClassPass. Can’t wait to sign up as a member!

    Padel Beginners Clinic

fun class! groups of 4 max. progresses through various drills but always hitting a ball. ends with team volleys. instructor was very nice, encouraging, and forgiving. took this class once before, and that instructor was very adamant about fundamentals and spent almost all of the class time drilling that in; this instructor was way more laid back which was appreciated. plenty of parking. multiple water dispensers but bring a container.

Finally, a studio that respects spiritual foundation of yoga. The teacher touched on philosophy in a relatable way which I really love and find so helpful to manage my anxiety..Fun flow, challenging poses and creative transitions. Space feels so comfortable, warm and spacious. Great way to start my day
