First class I took by Dana and it was amazing - we got to do poses I typically don’t get to and lots of focus on breathing and thinking. We got to put our legs up at the end (which I’ve had in no other class) and it was unique and a really good stretch! Pace is fast.

    Gym Time

Love this gym. The space is not only big, it's wide, so it's easy to space out, find a spot somewhere to workout where you're not seen or in someone else's space the entire time, and just feel secluded. In a good way. The lights are dim and calming, in my opinion. I prefer this gym over Union St. or Chestnut, which are smaller and everyone can watch you workout. I'm usually in and out of those locations, while this one makes you feel comfortable to stay a while.

    Hot Sculpt Yoga with Weights

New part of my weekly routine! Great way to start the day, and even better to start the week with a Monday morning class. The class is tough because it's quite hot, but you get to choose your weights and can go lighter or not use them at all, so that helps. There is a few minutes of cardio (a series of jumping jacks, 8 seconds on, 8 seconds active recovery), basically the length of one song, so be prepared for that! But, ends up being a very short portion of the class, and really helps with cardiovascular recovery, so I love it!

    Love Flows 75: Vinyasa

Molly Barber is an excellent human being with the most beautiful voice for chanting and her class is full of a light but flowly feel. I had taken a long break from LSY because sometimes the students are weird. (Like not super friendly and they love to bring their phones to class, ew) but I am glad I came back and found this diamond human being. Her class was not hard but it was challenging. It was never undoable but it never stopped for the whole time. So LSY is still one of my favourite studios; I had just forgot.

60 Min. Soulful Sunday (All Levels)

Loved this class! The instructor was fantastic. Favorite yoga class I’ve taken from any ClassPass studio so far. I appreciated that the instructor continually encouraged folx to listen to their bodies. Also LOVED that there was a solid 10 minutes of stretching/cooldown/savasana, which most yoga classes try to cram into one minute.

Tony is a fantastic instructor who has a surgeon-like precise attention to form. Even in a class with many students, he makes many individual adjustments. As other have noted, his style of teaching is a unique counterpoint to the typical hippie-dippy "find your center" and "loving kindness" approach to yoga. There is a place for both, but if you want to emphasize improving your physical capabilities, Tony's class has a lot to offer.

I've really come to appreciate Keri's intermediate class - she will transform you into an aerial badass. Class mostly focuses on foundational work such as single knee hangs, meat hooks and planches. Tricks seem to come second which is fine in my opinion. Without correct form you have nothing right? Keri's teaching style is more direct but don't let that intimidate you - she wants to ensure you're doing it correctly and you'll thank her later for it.

The class was different from other C2 classes, in a good way. It felt a bit more, spiritual perhaps? A little less power yoga and music, and a little more grounding and unique. The instructor was clearly an expert yogi - he had confidence and expertise to effectively lead the class. He did a great job of connecting us to community and with ourselves. I was sad to hear he doesn't normally teach at the Duboce location, I'd definitely take this class again on a day where I'm looking for less vinyasa and more mental grounding and new position challenges.

Marcela’s class is definitely the most fun yoga class I have found in SF. Her flows bring a dance-like quality to the class combined with the awesome new tunes and sequences she curates every week…it’s definitely tough and hot but never boring. With her tips and encouragement I have been inspired to return regularly and built strength and flexibility I’ve never had before. Marcela is warm and welcoming for first timers/returning yogis like me because she calls out four levels of each posture very clearly. Outdoor Yoga Class + Meditation

Really enjoyed this outdoor class. Crystal was good at explaining each pose and providing alternatives. I found the poses less strenuous and more focused on stretching, perfect for a less athletic person like me! She walks around playing chimes at the end of class.

All Levels HYBRID: IN-STUDIO class (Vax not required)

So glad I tried this studio. I have always loved this style of yoga and I know it’s not for everyone but it suits me very well. It’s like a combo of classics Hatha yoga and PT. Kathy was a sweetheart and was very kind to me for my first try. It’s hard but in a different way from the chain yoga studios. Add this to your practice at least once a week

Virtual Vinyasa All Levels via Zoom

Nice little neighborhood yoga studio. All level is more beginner friendly and its a great, non-intimating place to learn. Small class with good hand on corrections. Advanced practitioners might not find it challenging enough. I dont have kid but I think its wonderful the studio offers free day care during class and really trys to make yoga accessible to all.

Instructor was so nice, and really appreciated that the room was a bit larger, spaces were more spread apart and there was natural light (looking at you, Barry’s FiDi!). Enjoyed the workout, good balance between variety and repetition. NOTE: The location is not on street level - one floor up if you’re having trouble finding it!
