How to prepare

Please plan on arriving at least 5 minutes before your scheduled class to complete a registration form. Wear comfortable workout wear and bring a towel and water bottle. Weights and mats available on a first come first served basis. Feel free to bring your own.

How to get there

The studio is located on the El Camino in San Carlos between Central and St. Francis Streets right next door to Baskin Robbins. Parking is accessed in the alleyway behind the studio where there are 8 tandem parking spots. Public two hour parking is also available on El Camino Real, St. Francis, Central and Laurel Streets.

Dance Mixx
Not quite what I expected from a class called Dance Mixx. This was a lot of hopping, jumping and step touching. I prefer more dance oriented dance fitness formats like zumba, Ujam and LaBlast. This was not really dancingmore a standard aerobics type of class. The weights and abs during the last 10-12 mins of class were ok. The front desk person was very friendly and the instructor seemed engaged.

I wanted to like this but I never broke a sweat and neither did most of the class. I liked the strength part of the class but it concerned me that some of the moves were instructed improperly and could cause injury. This seems like a good first step for someone that wants something not intimidating to get back into exercising. Just won't move the needle to actually get in shape
