About this studio

AcroSports is a non-profit gymnasium that has been serving the community since 1993! They teach a wide variety of circus and urban arts classes, including: aerial, parkour, gymnastics, tumbling, hand balancing, strength & conditioning, trampoline/wall trampoline, contortion, stretching, breakdancing, partner acrobatics, primal movement, functional mobility and hula hoop dance. They have a beautiful Art Deco multi-level gymnasium equipped with: Tumble Trak, Aerial Rigging, Trampoline Wall, Sprung Floor, Foam Pit, Spotting Lines, Dance Floor, Rod Floor,Mini Trampoline, Uneven Bars, Parallel Bars, High Bar, Balance Beams, and much more!

How to prepare

Athletic apparel is required to be worn in the gym. The midsection and chest on all individuals must be fully covered at all times. The buttocks and groin must be fully covered at all times. Jeans, khakis and pants, with or without buttons, metal zippers, metal rivets, belts and belt loops are all not permitted. We have cubbies & lockers on site, but we do not provide locks. Please bring water in a closed container. We have water fountains on each level.

How to get there

We are located at 639 Frederick Street in San Francisco, directly across from historic Kezar Stadium. AcroSport's is easily accessible by both Muni Train and Bus. There is on street parking, or if you prefer there is a paid parking lot accessible from Stanyan Street. Walk up the stairs and enter the double glass doors which will take you to our Front Office.

Intro to Handbalancing with Mackenzie
I love Acrosports! Ill be honest, Im a 39 year old who is just getting into shape after years of inactivity due to injury. Every time I walk into one of these classes I wonder, What have I gotten myself in to?! However the instructors are so great I always surprise myself and leave feeling empowered. Mackenzie was no exception she was very encouraging and did a great job working with different skill sets.

Haha a fun class to take! Learned several hula transitions. Would take again!

Was more of a beginning tumbling class rather than partner acrobatics. Fun!

Trampoline / Wall Trampoline - Beginning with Luke
So much fun if you like being airborne! Try to practice a forward and backward roll before going.
Tumbling- Beginning with Alexa
This class was great fun! Definitely challenging for a first timer. Ability to do handstands and cartwheels is key. Definitely take the Intro to Acrosports class first. It seems most of the other people in the class were experienced beginners however the instructors were good about giving me exercises to build up to the more complicated tricks.

riana is amazing! Great instructor who gives really helpful tips and FEEDBACK. Learned a lot!
