About this class

As long as you can hold a ballet barre, you can do Pure Barre. That’s not to say that it’s easy, your first class will likely feel challenging at times, but they encourage you to stick with it. Try your hardest and let loose and feel free to ask your instructor plenty of questions before and after class. Be prepared and come 10-15 early to your first class with socks, water and a towel. In just 55 minutes you will achieve a full-body workout concentrating on the targeting large muscles groups: hips, thighs, seat, abdominals and arms. The Pure Barre technique is low-impact, protecting your joints by avoiding any bouncing or jumping. Each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to create long, lean muscles without bulk. The technique works to defy gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up! The concentration involved while taking Pure Barre allows you to block "life" out for the hour, creating the mental benefits similarly obtained by the practice of yoga or meditation. A transformed body and a clear head in just one hour—it doesn't get much better than this.

How to prepare

1. New students please arrive 15 mins early to fill out paperwork, regardless of having been to other Barre Studios 2. We cannot accommodate anyone who is more than 5 mins late 3. Come prepared with pants, legging or capris (no shorts), a top that covers your midriff + socks 4. Shoes & cell phones are not allowed in studio 5. Please let the instructor know of any injuries 6. Pregnant students: always consult with your doctor before beginning a new exercise routine and alert your teacher for modifications

How to get there

You MUST arrive at least 15 minutes before class time your first time to our studio as you will not be permitted to participate without filling out the required waiver. There is usually 2 hour parking along the street, but plan extra time if you are planning to drive to our studio. We conveniently located are right next to Starbucks and across from Safeway.

I am giving 5 stars because I’ve done pure barre in the past and love the workout. Unfortunately today the instructor Anna was hard to hear and didn’t demonstrate the moves. There seemed to be a lot of confused people in the class and I wish she had clarified. I will still return to PB, just with a different instructor.

What is ClassPass?
