How it works

About this class

If you have a strong foundation, you can build anything on it. Their 40-minute Foundation class is a great place to start for those who are new to CORE40. If you are new to the studio, they strongly recommend that you take a Foundation class first so that you can get comfortable with the equipment, their 40-minute format and the fundamental exercises. But don't let the name fool you into thinking this class is only for newbies. Veterans are welcome and will be challenged. You will definitely break a sweat as you strengthen, tighten, tone and stretch your body in this fun, intense, music-inspired group class.

CORE40 Foundation with Ashley
It’s a ‘foundation’ class but it’s not good for Pilates newbies. The instructor didn’t explain the moves well and didn’t do much to correct form. I spent more time trying to figure out what the current move was than I spent actually doing it. Not much burn after. Felt like a waste of a workout :(

great work out .. harder than a bsics/fundamentals classic.
CORE40 Foundation with Alyssa
I get how it would be a great workout, however I felt lack of instruction for it being my first time. I didn’t feel that upbeat gym vibe. Cool place with the right feel.
CORE40 Foundation with Janel
Janel is phenomenal! She has a great energy and her class is challenging so I always leave knowing I got in a good workout. I am newer to Core40 and she takes time to get you familiar with the reformer before class and is always helping to improve my form! Thanks, Janel!!

Alyssa is a great instructor! Provided helpful corrections and encouragement throughout the class!

Great workout. Challenging and fun! Janel is a terrific instructor, very kind and incredibly motivating. Highly recommend.
CORE40 Foundation with Nitar
This was my second ever CORE40 class and the first at this studio. This Foundations class was more involved than my first, it was a great and hard workout, & went by quickly. The instructor was great and was always there to help me out when I had no idea what I was doing. I could hardly walk after, so I know it’s working! The studio itself is easy to get to and has lockers to use. I love the machines and will be back.
