About this class

This class will primarily focus on introducing basic tumbling skills such as; Forward/Backward Rolls, Handstands, Cartwheels, and Round Offs. We will also introduce drills and progressions to learn Front/Back Handsprings and Front/Back Saltos with the assistance of trampolines, safety equipment, and spotting. No previous experience necessary, but we highly recommend trying our Intro to AcroSports class first!

How to prepare

Athletic apparel is required to be worn in the gym. The midsection and chest on all individuals must be fully covered at all times. The buttocks and groin must be fully covered at all times. Jeans, khakis and pants, with or without buttons, metal zippers, metal rivets, belts and belt loops are all not permitted. We have cubbies & lockers on site, but we do not provide locks. Please bring water in a closed container. We have water fountains on each level.

How to get there

We are located at 639 Frederick Street in San Francisco, directly across from historic Kezar Stadium. AcroSport's is easily accessible by both Muni Train and Bus. There is on street parking, or if you prefer there is a paid parking lot accessible from Stanyan Street. Walk up the stairs and enter the double glass doors which will take you to our Front Office.

I was really surprised by how unwelcoming everyone in the front desk seemed at check-in. The class structure felt really disorganized, there was little to no intro or explanation to what exercises we were doing and why. During the last 30 or so min of class, we were given 'ideas' of exercises to do. I would've appreciated a more structured circuit format, otherwise, it's no better than an open gym class. I'm a quick learner and athletic, but the learning curve was insane because the instruction was lacking. I spent a lot of time feeling lost and needing to ask the instructor for pointers

SO much fun. It was like being a little kid again. Great coaching as well, awesome cues and tips to help with technique. Definitely going back.

This class was so much fun and a great workout. The noon class has a lot of regulars so the intensity level is about the same as the intermediate class (think more standing front/back flips, less cartwheels and handstands). This was a bit intimidating for a first class but everyone was super encouraging. I’ll be back again!
