About this class

Gentle Yoga is for those with needing more stretching and less strenuous modifications. This could be seniors, students new to yoga, anyone with a health challenge or just needing to de-stress. The class includes instruction in basic Yoga postures to enhance range of motion, strength and balance. Poses are adapted and modified so the student can maintain a steady, comfortable posture. The class also includes deep relaxation to create a stress-free body and peaceful mind.

How to prepare

We supply complimentary mats, cushions and blankets. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Please wear modest clothing.

How to get there

Free street parking. Bike racks out front. Two blocks from the L-Taraval Muni train (Get off at 23rd Ave). Four blocks from the #28 Muni bus (Get off at Vicente St). We are located on the SE corner of Vicente St and 23rd Ave.

This is different kind of yoga- very spiritual and mental. It was very relaxing but very unlike “workout yoga” I still enjoyed it though. Lots of great breathe work.

Gentle Yoga was very basic, and perhaps a good intro to the practice of yoga for first timers. Dont expect to break a sweat.

A great class if you're looking for beginner yoga with chanting and gentle movements. "90 minute class" was only 50 minutes. Wish it had been longer!
