About this class

Come try our newest apparatus at the studio - the lyra! Lyra is a large metal aerial hoop that hangs about 5 feet off of the ground. We will condition, incorporating aerial strength training, active flexibility and aerial dance choreography into the class. This intro to lyra class is for people who have zero experience with lyra and on an aerial apparatus. *Please wear yoga pants, tank top and socks to make sure that you're body is covered during the class.

Sable was amazing. This was a great intro class. Sable broke down each move thoughtfully and paid special attention to correct form. I learned so much from this class!

So much fun! First time ever trying Lyra. Class was a good size and teacher did a good job spotting the new people. Also all the students were super friendly

It was SO much fun! Alyssa is such a joyful, helpful instructor. It took nearly a week for my arms to stop burning. Hahaha! Definitely taking this class again!

Teacher was so fun and informative!
Intro to Lyra with Christine
Christine was great! She picked out lots of moves that were challenging but not all impossible. Tons of fun while still getting in plenty of conditioning!

Intro to Lyra with Alyssa
Patient, knowledgeable instructor who understood how to teach to the student's level. Emphasized good form and we learned a fun sequence as well as did some spinning. Really great teacher!
Intro to Lyra with Elizabeth
This was my first time doing Lyra and the instructor was so helpful and constructive!
Intro to Lyra with Caroline
Really too crowded and loud to hear instructions or find place to stand. Pole class takes up most of space & volume in studio so it's not a great ambiance for Lyra class. Not teacher's fault.
Intro to Lyra with Jody
Jody's the best Lyra teacher I've had so far, she's great at breaking down the steps and is able to teach people of varying levels at once without making beginners feel intimidated!
