not enough variations for different fitness levels. I've been taking Barre classes at least 2x week for over a year and I'm fairly strong. I noticed there were many points that were way too challenging for me- and for many others as I looked around the room.

Deceivingly tough and thorough workout as always. This was my first time taking a class with this instructor, and she led us in some moves that were brand new to me, which was great! However, she was a bit abrupt in her reminders/corrections which could be jarring. Additionally, there was someone who appeared to be new to barre struggling through most of the moves and using the heaviest weights, but the instructor did not pay her any special attention or adjust her form.

About this studio

The Dailey Method® is a unique combination of ballet barre work, core conditioning, muscle strengthening, yoga, and orthopedic exercises. This challenging one-hour barre exercise class effectively strengthens, tones and lengthens the entire body. All movement is controlled and very focused, effective, and safe. Proper alignment is our primary focus. Then each set of exercises is followed by a series of active stretches to develop more sculpted and supple muscles. The entire body and mind is constantly working throughout our workout. Through this process ones body, posture, and physical awareness will be transformed.

How to prepare

Dailey offers something for Every Body: Dailey Barre: Our signature barre class. Dailey Basics: Ideal for clients new to the Method. There are fewer variations taught & more holds for deeper understanding of the practice. Dailey Interval: Faster paced, 45 minute class that focuses on cardiovascular strength while maintaining proper alignment. Dailey Fusion: Fuses the alignment focused elements of our Barre class with the cardio intensity of Interval. Dailey Gentle: Ideal for a softer, more relaxing barre experience.

How to get there

Located at the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and Pleasant Valley in Oakland, CA. Limited parking exclusively for our client is available in the lot next to the studio. Please wear close toed grippy socks to class (also available for purchase.) Bring a water bottle.

What is ClassPass?
