    Postnatal and Baby

Jane is the best! Sadly we ended our post partum journey with her as I am going back to work on Monday. We started taking her post natal yoga classes when I was cleared to go back to working out at 6 weeks post partum. She focuses on pelvic floor and strengthening. She instructs us mammas how to do things to prevent injuries and to do yoga poses that will help with our daily lives such as focusing on the back, lower back, core, wrists, feet, shoulders and neck. Jane tries her best to get assistants to help us hold our babies so we can practice and focus on ourselves instead of the baby the whole class. It’s a judgement free zone in which you don’t have to worry if your baby will cry, needs to be fed (bottle or breast), changed or just given attention to. We mommas are all in the same boat and babies will be babies. At the end of the class Jane instructs the moms and babies on a 15 min session of baby yoga. The babies stretch out the legs and hands while laying down on a blanket in front of your mat. This is a precious and fun time to introduce yoga to your little one. I am very grateful for her class and that community at Yoga Flow Noe Valley.
