How to prepare

Make sure to arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time! Basecamp will need your height prior to class! Please either email jason@basecampfitness.co or call (415) 400-4375 with this information.

How to get there

Metered parking is available ($1 for 1 hour) on Van Ness and Union St next to studio and residential parking up to 2 hours throughout the Cow Hollow area. Public transportation available nearby, with main muni bus stops at Union and Van Ness (Muni 41, Muni 45, and Muni 47). For more info regarding public transportation, please reference www.sfmta.com.

Functional: Athletic Development with Nina
Great class with perfect tempo, great balance between the bikes and body weight and agility exercises, and a very welcoming orientation (since it was my first time).

SHOULDERS & ARMS: IRONSTRAPS with Nina
Basecamp is geared best for experienced gym goers. I say this because of the high tempo of the class. Typically you are going one min on the bike, 10 second transition, and one min on the floor (doing weight exercises), and repeat for 35 mins. Plus a 10 minute core session at the end. The class can hold up to about 40+ people, w/only one instructor. This means less 1 on 1 time with the instructor for corrections. Poor form is everywhere. Know proper form before coming to this studio, or risk injury. And for GOD SAKES people, put the weights back where you found them (ON THE RACK)! I shouldnt have to run all over to find the correct weight b/c you were too lazy to put it back. Also, when the buzzer goes off for a transition, that means get moving NOW. I.e. dont wait an extra 5 seconds on the bike to start moving, you cause delays for others. Its not cool. This studio is a well oiled machine for a great workout, but you need to follow the rules of where to be at a certain time.

Thank you very much for the feedback and the comments. You are correct in that we drive a face paced class to get you in out and on the way. We do our best to keep people moving from the bike to the floor and floor to the bike. The transitions are quick and this is why TV's are provided so people can prepare for where they are headed to next. Our trainers do their best to provide form corrections to those who need it, and do their best with the 60-second window for each exercise. Thank you for appreciating what we have built and we are looking forward to having you back and helping us move people a little bit faster to get from point A to point B. It takes a leader and with no doubt, in our minds you are one for sure! We will see you soon and can't wait to watch you crush it.
LEGS: Fourth Quarter with Trevor
First time I did this class and it was so good! Im huge into circuits and the way the class was set up makes the time fly by! Trevor was super motivating too and doesnt let you do it alone!

Our workouts are 35 minutes to ensure you get in out and on your way with the rest of your to-do list. We also put a lot of thought into our programming to ensure you never get bored and the time flies by. We are happy that you were able to get the support and push you needed in class. Looking forward to having you back in the studio to try a different class and possibly format. :)

The staff is super welcoming and informative in your first day, a lot of energy and fixed form, gave examples, and modifications in up your work out. Ill definitely be back!

Love basecamp but annoying they allow people to bring their phone on their bikes. Not inspiring to have the person next to you texting and checking emails during the class.

At Basecamp we aim to meet people where they are and at different fitness levels. Some people come into Basecamp to blast calories and push hard. Others come in to spend time with their friends. Some people have the goal of gaining muscle and using the bike as active recovery. We know that not everyone's goals are the same and that's what we like to celebrate at Basecamp. What is ClassPass?

ClassPass is a new kind of gym membership that grants you access to thousands of different classes at studios and gyms in your city and around the world.
