About this class

Get ready to plank, lunge, squeeze, sweat, pike, push and twist your body past its comfort zone to total muscle failure. Our Sculpt Pilates class incorporates resistance of weighted springs that will force constant core and muscle engagement for a full body workout leaving you energized and boosting your metabolism for days. We believe that cross training is key, so we have found workouts that compliment each other perfectly and put them all under one roof. Our 40-minute Sculpt classes provide lengthening resistance training. All of our workouts are form-focused, ensuring you get the most out of every exercise. Our ROKstar instructors are certified and qualified to guide you into proper form & alignment. BodyROK takes a traditional reformer workout and turns it up a notch by adding strength training exercises and high-energy music to keep the heart rate up the entire 40-minute class. Our method includes a greater variety of exercises, longer segments and quicker transitions, resulting in a more intense, sweat fueled, fast-paced Pilates workout. You will love the results and the great shape you'll be in from these high intensity and low impact workouts! Grip socks are required.

Kat and the lady at the front desk were really nice. Kat offered some corrections if one was doing them incorrectly. The class had a nice variety of exercises for a full body workout. Nice class! Tough workout! Might be quite difficult for a beginner.

How to prepare

Give yourself at least 10 min time to check-in and sign the new member waiver at the front desk. Bring a water bottle too. Sculpt: GRIP SOCKS ARE REQUIRED. Bring your own or buy some at the studio for $12+tax. Cycle: All bikes have cages for SNEAKERS or SPD clips. Let the instructor know you are new —they will walk you through the BodyROK Reformer or bike set-up. For your own safety, no late entry will be allowed to: 1. First time Sculpt clients 2. All Power Cycle classes If you are late- your spot will be given up to a waitlisted client.

How to get there

BodyRok is located at 158 W 25th Ave in San Mateo, just south of Hwy 92 and the El Camino Exit and north of Hillsdale Blvd. The studio is 1.5 Blocks west of El Camino Real. Free street parking is readily available during the morning classes.

What is ClassPass?
