I have a relatively new injury and she was helpful in tailoring things to help me get through class unscathed. This is my second class with her and they were both great!

see all reviewsTrue to its word, this was a great cardio class and really worked up a good sweat!! If you want to increase your heart rate and burn some calories this is it. Not the usual slow movement class. Air lunge squats, bench press, burpees, mountain climbers....all the good stuff!

see all reviewsNew part of my weekly routine! Great way to start the day, and even better to start the week with a Monday morning class. The class is tough because it's quite hot, but you get to choose your weights and can go lighter or not use them at all, so that helps. There is a few minutes of cardio (a series of jumping jacks, 8 seconds on, 8 seconds active recovery), basically the length of one song, so be prepared for that! But, ends up being a very short portion of the class, and really helps with cardiovascular recovery, so I love it!

I appreciated that the instructor continually encouraged folx to listen to their bodies. Also LOVED that there was a solid 10 minutes of stretching/cooldown/savasana, which most yoga classes try to cram into one minute.

see all reviewsDiana was the best instructor I’ve taken here! She explains each move and what the next step is really well, so you are able to follow along. The only note I’d have for Mighty Pilates (not Diana), is that it was a bit distracting to have two classes at once. It was harder to hear Diana when another instructor was also teaching at the same time.

As other have noted, his style of teaching is a unique counterpoint to the typical hippie-dippy "find your center" and "loving kindness" approach to yoga. There is a place for both, but if you want to emphasize improving your physical capabilities, Tony's class has a lot to offer.

The space is not only big, it's wide, so it's easy to space out, find a spot somewhere to workout where you're not seen or in someone else's space the entire time, and just feel secluded. In a good way. The lights are dim and calming, in my opinion. I prefer this gym over Union St. or Chestnut, which are smaller and everyone can watch you workout. I'm usually in and out of those locations, while this one makes you feel comfortable to stay a while.
