Chad always has a great class and he is a phenomenal instructor. The rest of this review is concerning a number of the women who attend his class. If you are a person of color, the microagressions from a select few can be unreal. This will not prevent me from attending his class due to the ignorance of others, but it is disheartening. Women and certainly women of varying shades should be supportive of one another. The environment where one works out is just as important as the workout itself. I frequent this studio multiple times a week and it’s sickening to feel what I feel in the locker room and while in the studio the class is being conducted. Again, this is not in the instructor’s control and all of my Physique instructors have been wonderful. However, the women who frequent this studio truly need to be more mindful of their behavior. Deplorable.

Babette is a lovely human and a great teacher. I will say that Barre3 is way overcrowding the classes, which is unfortunate. It’s really hard to do moves on the mat, and we spent half the class on the mats. I’d prefer more time upright and more cardio work.

Angela is such an experienced and wonderful instructor. She always offers modifications and is very easy to follow. I’ve gone to flybarre for years and her classes are still challenging and some of my favorites. One note though-Flywheel does need to wipe down the mats more often. There was a massive dust bunny on my mat tonight.

Fantastic class, fun and time flew by because non stop movement! Instructor was upbeat and encouraging and I liked her music. I could see why other people said it’s confusing but if you are work out regularly and are familiar with different exercises it’s not that hard to keep up. Way better than their regular barre class which I find slow and not that challenging and use as a rest day workout. Also this studio was lovely and the room was nice and warm which is better for this type of excercise.

Lane is amazing! This is what all flybarre classes should be like! There is a reason the room is full. Like all the other comments allude, it’s not always clear why this class is 12 credits, given the room is often empty. Happily Lane is a big exception and worth the credits!

    Pure Reform (50 Mins)

The best! A Challenging, non-stop, full body, low impact, but high intensity workout that tests your balance, coordination, strength + muscle endurance in a completely different way from strength training / lifting. It’s pretty much a mega former class, but without the machine, using bungees + gliders instead. Caroline always puts in so much thought into her profiles to continually keep them interesting, creative + burn worthy. There’s nothing better than an instructor who truly loves what she does, wants to give her students a 5 star show week after week + who’s genuinely interested in demanding more from attendees.

Pure Reform is such a great full body workout and switch up from barre! I was worried there might be too much cardio or crazy lifting but it’s not at all- it’s a really nice flow. I really liked the sliders and resistance bands we use- it feels like I’m truly toning and using my muscles in very targeted new ways. You’re constantly engaging your core. Reisa is the best teacher!! So patient, energetic, and encouraging and totally knows her stuff.

    OCR Bootcamp

Christina was awesome and so was the class. It was a super small class so lots of individual attention. This isnt a typical HIIT class but more structured like an actual OCR race. We did obstacle stuff like monkey bars and rope climbs and farmer carries interspersed with runs. I was wheezing during the runs, and my last run pretty much turned into a walk. We worked a lot on technique and Christina was amazing with cues. Im not training for a race or anything but it really pushed me more than other HIIT workouts Ive done.
