Always one of my favorite barre classes in Hoboken. You definitely will be feeling the workout in your legs and abs afterwards but doesn’t feel like you’ll be so sore you’d be out of commission. Great class to take for those starting off or looking to advance their barre practice.

This class was HARD!! I liked that Mariela gave a really thorough intro/demo to the circuits before we did anything, and she had an assistant in the room to guide with form/timings/etc. I would’ve liked a bit more help in terms of modifications, as I found some of the moves got too difficult as the class progressed. The space is also very large and clean, with a nice variety of equipment.

Ciara was great! If you’re intimidated to take a barre class I would highly recommend this place. It was my first time ever doing a barre class, and I will definitely be back! They are very welcoming and work with you. The thing I love most about this class was that we used foam mats for abdominal workouts which is great for me because I suffer from a lot of lower back pain whenever I perform abdominal workouts but I was able to push myself.

Tricia‘a class was challenging in a great way! She makes an effort to know the students’ names. I liked how she not only gave verbal cues but also did some of the movements with us. My only complaint is the temperature - I wish we had more ventilation, because it gets SO HOT and SO SWEATY. I’ve been to her class three times and all three times I had to lay in child’s pose for the last 10 minutes because I get so dizzy.

Honestly this is my favorite class at Bodyrok! It’s the only megaformer class I can find in NYC to incorporate the jump board, which I really takes the workout up a notch. Fight!

Coach Luis is great!! Welcoming, energetic and professional. His class was dynamic, the boxing & conditioning segments were challenging and totally do-able. We spent time on core & stability in-between the conditioning segments. The end of the class was spent one-on-one mitt work with Luis. When one person is working with Luis the rest of the class practiced the movements we learned in class on the heavy bag individually - this is pretty common in a boxing gym. Practicing the basics combos is invaluable, if you don’t execute the basics well you’re not going to level up so I thought this was great. Thank you!!!

Love this class. Great instructor. I would like to see towels and mats provided free of charge however. It’s a high end studio with showers and a great sound system. Towels would feel like a nice amenity considering the rate.

    transformational breathwork with daniella

The meat of Daniella’s class was really, really great. I would prefer a much shorter intro before class and no debrief after class. I found the intro to be repetitive and intense (I don’t need to hear a sample scream and I think she could demonstrate the concepts while teaching in the actual class instead of teaching techniques before getting started. In a yoga class poses are taught in real time not at the beginning to prep, and I’d like to see that approach here as I see in other meditation and breath work classes). The intro took at least 4x too long and unfortunately the debrief after class took me from being relaxed to being a bit more stressed again hearing about her love of breath work and listening to others’ experiences and debating with myself whether or not to share about my (truly wonderful) experience. Overall I highly recommend but I think there is room for improvement <3

Like the attention to detail and correction of technique and posture given by instructor. He reminds you to stay present and focused.
