How to prepare

For health & safety reasons, they require that clients wear socks for class. They recommend "sticky" socks which can be purchased in-studio for $14.

How to get there

Fuel Body Lab Shaw is nestled in Blagden Alley which holds a ton of history; its neighbors include La Colombe Coffee, The Dabney, Wag Time, Long View Gallery, Lost & Found and Tiger Fork. The studio is urban with graffiti-like signage, but chic and warm once inside. ​Google maps shows the studio appearing slightly closer to M street, when in fact it is at the intersection of Blagden Alley and Blagden Alley NW. This class was awesome! I am five months post partum, and while I was in good shape before pregnancy, I was unable to exercise much during pregnancy or afterwards. I was definitely on the slower side, but the teacher was so warm/welcoming that it didnt matter that I was out of shape. Such a great workout and loved that it was much lower impact than most workouts that would get that kind of cardio.

Danielle is a super-instructor. A very impressive professional. Class was SUPER fast-paced, but it inspired me to keep getting stronger.

Ok. I dont like wearing grippy socks in this class. High impact classes with burpees and lunge jumps need sneakers.

I liked this class and the teacher. I didn't find it as intense as HIIT classes I normally go to but it's a good Pilates based class. And a good class if you're looking to tone but not exhaust yourself.
