How to prepare

For health & safety reasons, they require that clients wear socks for class. They recommend "sticky" socks which can be purchased in-studio for $14.

How to get there

Fuel Body Lab Shaw is nestled in Blagden Alley which holds a ton of history; its neighbors include La Colombe Coffee, The Dabney, Wag Time, Long View Gallery, Lost & Found and Tiger Fork. The studio is urban with graffiti-like signage, but chic and warm once inside. ​Google maps shows the studio appearing slightly closer to M street, when in fact it is at the intersection of Blagden Alley and Blagden Alley NW. Not my favorite teacher at this studio.

Its been months since Ive taken this class and I have to say, I really like the new routine. Danielle was a proactive teacher who valences arms, seat, legs and ab work for a complete hour. Cant wait to go back!

So much fun! Got a great full body workout and really enjoyed myself. Instructor was really nice too. Will definitely be back!

Workout is good, but I think this class is a little long, to be honest. I would break up the jumping sections a bit more.

Its a barre class on steroids. Its an amazing workout!

Good workout. The class takes awhile to get going because the instructor covers all the moves for the entire class. The class also ran over by 5 minutes.

Great class! The studio was a little out of date, but the instructor was great. She had a great mix of upper and lower body with plenty of cardio worked in. Also the playlist was amazing.
