see all reviewsNice, bright space. Upbeat instructor who seemed to pay good attention to our form and gave cues for adjustments. Music played in the background, which I liked, but the pace of the class is good enough to not need the two to pair up. Class was six people and that made it great for individual attention. Felt like I got a good workout in the hour!

Lots of typical HIIT exercises, but fun and with the constant rotation it kept things interesting and moving. They didn’t have towels (that I saw) so bring your own

see all reviewsGreat class! First time. The lights are kept low, similar to a spin class. Exercises move quickly, but the instructor demos everything. This was definitely more cardio than strength (lots of 20 second intervals basically jumping around) but I liked it. Lots of different fitness levels for fellow classmates. People were going at their own pace. Not intimidating. They provide towels!

see all reviewsI love edge. As many of the reviews have mentioned, yoga 1 at this studio is not really meant for complete beginners (only the yoga foundations class is meant for beginners) but the yoga classes really provide an opportunity to build on and improve your practice. I've been doing yoga for almost 4 years and I'm still consistently challenged by the yoga 1 classes. That's not to say newer yogis shouldnt try it, they definitely should and most instructors offer multiple options for poses covering a large range of levels. Theres no shame in sitting some poses out if you need a break and just know that many of the people who are not new to yoga need to take breaks at this studio too. I cant say enough good things about edge and it's very talented instructors!

see all reviewsI really enjoyed this class. It’s a solid traditional mat Pilates class and the instructor gives good corrections and feedback. That being said, it is so hard not to deduct a star for how much this studio overpacks it’s classes! When students align their mats with gold circles (as you are forced to do), there is not close to enough room for individuals to do certain exercises with complete extension/correct form. If that is important to you, I recommend looking elsewhere.

see all reviewsMy favorite yoga studio in DC so far. It felt more ... I don't know, West Coast style? than a lot of the ones I've been to here. Focus seems to be more firmly on yoga as a rejuvenating and centering mind/body practice rather than a pose competition or a 'regular' workout class. The studio was very clean, and at least at the lunchtime class there was plenty of room to really stretch out and take up some space.
