About this studio

Bhakti Yoga serves to empower individuals with conscious lifestyle practices that transform the mind, body and heart. They provide their students with an empowering spiritual experience and holistic health care/coaching through dynamic healing yoga, mantra, meditation and philosophy delivered within an authentic spiritual community that serves to build deep and loving relationships. They primarily offer vinyasa flow yoga, restorative yoga and yin yoga classes for all levels.

How to prepare

Please bring a mat. Don't worry, if you don't already own a mat, the studio will be able to provide one. Arriving 10 minutes before your class starts will give you enough time to check in, fill out their waiver form and get changed. Each class will have a 10 minute grace period from start time.

How to get there

Directions and parking We are located on the corner of 5th and K Streets NW. Metered street parking is easily accessible, and there is 2-hour free parking in the neighborhood. Metro to Bhakti Yoga DC via Red Line to Gallery Place, or Green/Yellow Line to Mount Vernon Square. We are located 7 minutes by foot from either Metro station, and two blocks from the Convention Center.

Crowded, don’t go on fridays. Fun class, informed instructor, not for beginners.

I really enjoyed the flow, it was challenging but not too much. People of all yoga experience could do it while choosing to add more or less. Also hadn’t done that particular set of poses together before so that was exciting!

I don’t know why but this instructor turns the heat up to nearly 80 degrees, no matter how cold it is outside—very environmentally unfriendly for such a conscious-seeming studio. Also she corrects your poses in a way that feels like you’re being chastised, rather than helped
RELAX and RENEW Aromatherapy Flow with Jen
This class did not really involve aromatherapy like advertised. They had a very small one going. I thought it was going to be an integral part of class but it wasn't. The yoga was very very calm and slow so if that is your style, then the class is for you. Not my favorite.
