see all reviewsThis is a great studio. Sarah was so nice, enthusiastic. and led a meticulously detailed practice. Her instructions were so detailed it felt like a lecture at times. It’s okay to leave space for students to find their practice. When there is so much detail it leaves little to no room for the practice. A practice requires time and patience to improve and it wont happen in one class.

see all reviewsKojo is the best! Expect an intense and borderline soul sucking strength training class with plenty of timed lifting intervals used for a variety of lower and upper body moves such as racked squats, lunges, deadlifts, swings, sumos, gorilla rows, push presses, renegade rows, high pulls & plank work. He also tends to toss in a conditioning section with plyometric work, plus an AMRAP, then finishing with core. Please have both lifting and KB knowledge before coming because this is absolutely not a beginner class. You will sweat buckets, get breathless, work all of the muscle groups to fatigue, and you’ll be toasted by the end of the hour. I never miss a Wednesday!

see all reviewsAbsolutely loved it! I’ve never done a F45 program but I fell in love with the format. They demo everything before hand and while you’re doing the exercises there are screens in front of you with. A countdown and visual representation. There’s a clear finish line. The instructors were encouraging but not overly chatty during the sets, and they came around giving modifications/corrections/amplifications. Whether you are new to F45 or not you feel welcomed. I would 100% go back. Even considering a membership (which the plans seemed very reasonable!)

see all reviewsThe energy of the class was really great. Trainer was engaged. Instructions were easy to follow. People in the class were very supportive. The switching between weighted cardio and focused leg work was effective; the supersetting was painful but really pushed me. I tend to slack off on my own, resting too long and I feel this class has the right energy to push me to focus on form and volume. I do have a few criticisms though. First off, I feel that the space isn't equipped to do some of the barbell movements the trainer wants to teach to a big class. For example, we had about maybe 16, 17 people in the class today and the first movement taught was high bar squats. Because there was only one squat rack, we had to take the barbell, clean it from the floor, rack it on our shoulders then move. We had folks who have not done anything barbell before and there weren't really clear instructions on how to move the bar safely from the floor. Albeit 35/45lb isn't a ton of weight but still could introduce injuries for someone new to this. If the goal is to practice back squat techniques, I feel unracking / reracking is also pretty important, which is definitely not teachable to a large class in a space like this. Second I also wasn't a fan of the weighted glute bridge (vs hip thrusts off a bench) because of the reduced range of motion but that's purely personal preference. All in all, I thought this was a very fun and informative class and I'm happy to see an affordable studio (that's not a CrossFit box) that promotes heavy weight training.

During one particularly grooving sequence, Charlotte amusedly announced that her world had just been rocked by news of Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’ impending divorce…so I thought again about Kevin Costner - and about how each generation has its cultural touchstones — and how lucky it is that one can go to a yoga class taught by Charlotte and laugh about the absurdity of it all. I just want them to put all that info in the description so people who don’t know (me) can chose accordingly. It was my first time and just wanted a quick challenging yoga class. I don’t enjoy hot workouts. This was fine but not what I was expecting.
