    Tony is low-key (because they’re new) high-key (because one class I was like …. ohh this is how an instructor should work the mic) the BEST… first time at Barry’s I constantly had clear anticipation (incl. when accidentally zone out during upfront briefs) of where we were going and could max output w/out accidentally burning out or pushing too hard then risking injury

    STRENGTH + CONDITIONING SESSION

    New favorite class alert! I wouldn’t say it’s “beginner friendly” as defined by the difficulty level of the class (it was HARD AF, and I LOVED it), but the staff was INCREDIBLY welcoming and helpful in getting set up and starting off right. I loved the format, which involves three 12-minute rotations with three exercises each. What I loved most is that in addition to showing how to do each move correctly in the beginning, the moves are listed in the front of class so you know what you’re getting into and can pace yourself accordingly throughout each rotation. HIGHLY recommend. Will be coming back as often as possible!

    Marquis is a phenomenal instructor and needs to take over these Total Body day classes here! He actually knows how to program the floor rounds to target every single muscle group in a comprehensive manner, with plenty of challenge and intensity, and he doesn’t waste time on endless & repetitive sit-ups, like some of the other instructors. His class was incredibly tough, well thought out, and left you feeling accomplished.

    This was my first time trying the 1/2 run 1/2 reformer class. Wow!!! This really takes care of you in an intense , complete way. Def will be back! The mirror wall in front of the treadmill makes you run joyfully toward your own healthy hotness and sexy success. Maybe my favorite studio for when I am ready to kick my own ass. I love it.

    Love this class so much. Always an organized and effective program. Class today was 2 circuits, each one had 4 workouts done a total of 3 times, then had a 4 min AMRAP finisher. Full body workout with dumbbells, kettlebells, sandbags and bodyweight. Instructor is amazing and gives clear instructions on and corrections to form.

    BOOT CAMP (VIRTUAL)

    Coach came as me about 5-6 mins late. Not good but no biggie. Class is nonstop. No breaks whatsoever. GREAT sweat. They do alot of outdoor laps. We dis 4 today so bring a long sleeve shirt to easily slip into. There’s alot of cardio and jump squats, which I prefer. First 1/2 is mainly cardio drills: high knees, planks, outside laps around the block, bear crawls. Second 1/2 is a circuit we do two tomes followed by an outside lap. No breaks at all. No slowing down. Challenging class. Good for overall toning and to blast cals. Not good if you’re a model or dancer looking to sculpt and not bulk up. We dud extended plans that can bulk up the shoulders as well as burpees & jump squats that can bulk up the legs. Literally your agent’s nightmare. I’d still def return but modify the moves as I did today to avoid jump squats/a ton of big thigh muscle work.

    So, there was a schedule change. The gym changed the class time to 7:05pm, but ClassPass hasnt updated it in their system yet. Luckily I arrived at 7pm and was able to take class. Everyone there, including the owner Mike, was very nice and welcoming. Great workout. I worked up a nice sweat and sore muscles.
