About this studio

The Most Informal Running Club, Ever (TMIRCE) is an encouraging, judgment-free family of runners who really just want to hang out. TMIRCE (pronounced ti-MER-see) is a running club for everybody, regardless of pace. We meet in various NYC locations for speed workouts, casual bRUNches, tempo workouts, races, happy hours, and the occasional pie in the face. Not sure where to start? Just show up to one of our Saturday morning bRUNch runs. It’s an easy way to meet people and go for a casual run. Something magical happens when you commit yourself to running with others — you will end up improving your speed whether you like it or not. And the best part is that all workouts (and friendship) are free! Our sister club is the Rise NYC, which does early morning workouts every weekday.

How to prepare

We have a bag watch at Hub Seventeen, so you can drop off your stuff before we head out on the run. If you end up arriving a bit late, don't worry at all! You can ask the bag watcher for the route, but it's generally down to 14th St and West to the river, and head South as far as you want to go before turning back. We do have a potluck post-run, so feel free to bring something to share- but no pressure! You can just come and hang out. The best part of the group is making friends!

How to get there

Group meets at HUB seventeen (within the Lululemon store) 114 Fifth Avenue (at 17th Street). Look for a large group of friendly runners wearing TMIRCE shirts inside the store.

Love that this was super informal and supportive!

You run however long you want in 45 minutes and meet everyone back at the cafe for coffee/snacks. Great way to get a workout and socialising in! They also do other night workouts on Mondays and Thursdays that are more structured.

Response from the studio:
Hi! I'm so sorry we missed you. We congregate in the back of Brooklyn Roasting Company at 9:45am and leave for the West Side Highway at 10 am sharp. We always have someone watching bags, so even if you show up, late you can go inside, look for the person surrounded by way too many belongings and they'll tell you where to go. There will ALWAYS be someone (rain or shine or even blizzard) so you never have to worry about a run being cancelled! Hope you'll consider coming back- it's a great community and runs are always better with high fives :)

It was nice having others to run with! And everyone seems really friendly so it was good to meet some new people.
