Class was lots of compound movements that didn’t really make sense together - like a deadlift to row or weighted squat with front raise - since I use vastly different size weights for each exercise. Would rather choose challenging weights for each exercise.

see all reviewsTracy continues to amaze as a trainer and motivator. Her comment while I was on the stairmaster : "you are going to die one day, why not make today that day" made me step even faster. She then followed up with a comment while I was on the treadmill: "imagine a cougar is chasing you! " I asked whether it was cougar animal or cougar woman and she said woman". I never ran so fast in my life. Her motivation was off the charts today and so were her announcements at the end. I can't wait to attend the nutrition seminar on the 30th! Thank you Tracy!

I can see why Natalie’s class is so busy, she gives great cues and the flow was accessible but the sequencing felt unique enough to keep things interesting. I also really appreciated that she took the reins as the class started filling up to have folks adjust their mat placement and allow for people to fill in. That can be an awkward part of a full class but her direction was really appreciated so that everyone had a good spot with plenty of room.

Unfortunately I need to pause on coming because I’ve gotten 2 parking tickets (I parked just a few mins before 8 in front of the studio) and then last night my friend got his car windows bashed in last night. I just feel like it’s such a great studio but unfortunately the neighborhood problems have become an issue.

see all reviewsKatelyn was encouraging and had good energy. This was my second SC class, I have a strong background in studio classes and despite being Foundations, it was hard to follow at times. The cueing wasn’t super clear, like instructions were all a run on sentence and just repeatedly calling out names of moves/equipment so it was challenging to tell when/how we were transitioning or moving our bodies. She did mention at the end that it was her first time teaching a Foundations class, and 101 classes are always harder to teach so it makes sense. Personally, I think more clarity for specific movements in changing placement of feet/hands would be really helpful as well as varying instructional tone so it’s easier to tell when we are transitioning.

She did a great job mixing up exercises and keeping things from being too terribly long so that you can push through (ie: splitting up abs and obliques). The only downside is the room got pretty hot at like 40mins mark so I almost felt dizzy and wanted to leave but thank god the instructor opened the door a little and I was fine after!! Would have given this class 10/10 if the class was 45mins long.

I will say unfortunately the music/music videos were not at all my taste (alt-rock, pop-punk, and EDM predominantly) but it wasn’t lost on me that the instructor did try to mix genres, and I can’t fault her at all for my personal taste. Please do themed rides, this is such a fun idea!
