Twenty Pound Hammer uses CrossFit methodology (weights, gymnastics, and monostructural activities) to prepare their members for real-world challenges. They prioritize coaching and education over workouts that only leave you feeling tired. Most of their members' goals involve doing things outside the gym: everything from backpacking and backcountry skiing to keeping up with their kids and feeling alert at work. They want to be the best gym around, and are willing to break the mold to do it. How to prepare
Please wear athletic clothing and footwear, and come prepared to sweat! Many CrossFit classes involve technical movements and high intensity, so most of their classes are best suited for people who have previous CrossFit experience. However, they are experts in intelligently modifying workouts to suit all ability level -- so as long as you are coachable and come willing to learn, they would love to see you in class!
