    I thought I was in shape until this class. I usually work out 3 days a week doing HIIT classes, but this one kicked by butt. Super fast paced class with no breaks.! Expect to do high reps counts of exercises like lunges, squats, deadlifts, rows, tricep extensions etc with weights in hand and cardio bursts of jumping jacks, high knees, burpees, skiers and squat jumps. FYI, no locks for lockers so you have to bring your own or find a place to stash it in the workout studio room. Class size tonight was around 25 people.

    Nicole is the best. Knows how to challenge her students and keep her classes interesting, engaging, nonstop and thorough. She’s super attentive to everyone, providing hands on corrections and vocal adjustments if necessary, so there’s no slacking off in her classes. The shower room situation is a different story though. There have been the same gobs of hair in the stalls for over a week, old dried conditioner stains on the walls for months, hair all over the tile floor, empty toiletry bottles, and the used towel bin was overflowing tonight, clearly untouched for days. Either the staff needs to regularly clean or a service should get hired bc it’s getting rough in there.

    I've taken a few classes at Pure Barre Oside on class pass, and this might have been one of my favorites. I believe it was my second time taking Empower and I felt very challenged, in a good way. It was a fast paced class yet low impact and very focused. I burned a lot of calories and felt my muscles working in ways I didn't think they could. Instructor Nicole kept the class fun and interesting and she was very helpful with corrections throughout the class for me and others. I love running, and am always surprised at what a workout barre also is.
