Super fun, exhausting class but there are two things I struggle with - its always super hot and class rarely end at 8. I feel that with a 90 minute window we should be finishing on time and out there door at 8 but its generally 8:10.

    WeFlowHard Core

Was pretty scared cause Y7 classes are hard enough with core work already built in. This wasnt too bad. Only 45 minutes so some core work, a few sun salutations, more core work, a long sequence, a final core burst. Wasnt too hot, wasnt too hard, the instructor was good and worked with us which never usually happens in Y7. She also did a quick little massage during shavasana.

    WeFlowHard Vinyasa Yoga

Sarah’s class was the toughest class I’ve very taken at Y7 (both around NYC and in LA). She had awesome, unique flow sequences and challenging modifications for advanced students. I appreciated her fast pace even during the “down time” in between flows. It felt like not a minute of class was wasted. I hope to find her on the UES schedule more often. Can’t wait to take a class with her again!

    Candlelight Heated Yin

This class was exactly what I was looking for. Think of it as a lightly heated restorative yoga class where you hold a each position for about 2 minutes with the use of props (blocks/sandbags/blanket) to help you really open up into it. I also really enjoyed the instructors music choice. I often find the vinyasa classes at this studio to be a bit too loud but I found the volume in yin to be appropriately tempered

Liam’s demeanor is a sarcastic, humorous yogi that clearly doesn’t take himself too seriously, which had me a bit skeptical at the start. but his directions are spot on and his routine was thorough and deep with much attention to alignment and small adjustments if you were listening. Ended up loving the class and feeling centered and light.

Loved this class! Ashley was an awesome leader. The flow was challenging and very well paced. Candlelit yoga in a blacked out room heated with vinyasa flow. Sweat Sesh. Kendra is a great instructor. Definitely need a little background in yoga as there are several "yogis choice secrions" which you might get lost in the sequence if you aren't familiar with it. Has a soul cycle studio feel. Malin and goets products, scented candles, branded Mitch. Only one shower which you can sign up on the list for before class. You can rent mats and yogi toe skidless towels. There is a water fountain.

5 stars for Amy shes amazing BUT THIS STUDIO oh my god. Its too small you guys need to move. Nothing more relaxing then starting a class with everyone yapping...when did y7 start making this acceptable? Ive been shushed before and now everyone just talks. Trying to exit the class to go back to my life is ridiculous. I IMMEDIATELY lose my relaxed state as I exit into the studio to a sea of girls who have no idea how to be human. Exhale Barre

The ONLY exhale instructor I’ll take anymore, especially now that these classes cost a Whooping 12 credits, and the level of challenge has drastically dropped to almost a basic level, now catered to unfit, out of shape ppl. Prepare to work in his class. Alex is non stop, wasting zero time in the full hour - we covered 4 thigh positions including a glute intermission, then a set of glute work at both the barre + floor, topped off with 2 sets plank work, rather lengthy flat back + round back core sets, adding to the opening arm work that included 14 movements. Awesomely Killer

    Power Yoga (int)

I loved this so much. I get the mixed reviews because it's a very specific type of yoga based on what yoga was like before the gym-ification of the practice. That said, just because it's not your style doesn't mean you need to give a 1 star rating. This class is Ashtanga based but is not for people looking to get a "60 minute workout." I liked that Carlos spent 2 hours on the class. If you know going into it that it will be long and challenging it makes for a better experience. This class is not for beginners. Not that you couldn't get something out of it with little experience but I think it could get frustrating because there are handstands and arm balances (although you're all at the wall in a circle, which is so nice because you use it for inversions and you can see everyone!) It is both mentally and physically challenging, you work with other students, and you come out calm and reinvigorated.

First time at this studio. Very nice and great teacher. Super normal, which is rare for yoga lol. Very non-judge mental and easy to follow. box + flow

Fast-paced and probably not the best for someone who’s never boxed before, but a good workout if you have some experience. Know that it’s not a technical boxing class though!. Love having a short yoga flow and ab series at the end, especially since I’m a fan of a more physical flow after intense work.

    Vinyasa Foundations

What I love about Nicole's class is that she explains the poses in details and the pace is slower so that the students can really focus on the right alignments, not just quickly flow through the sequences. Her sequences of poses are well thought out. Even though it is a foundation class, it is challenging because when you are really focusing on engaging the right muscles to achieve the right alignment make you work extra hard and sweat a lot! Nicole is also very friendly and making people new to yoga feel at ease and not intimidated. She goes around to correct forms and give modifications for people with injuries. A wonderful practice!

    WOOOM Yoga Experience

Not a traditional yoga class. I really like the spiritual talk, blindfolded section, and sound vibrations at this place, I dont come here so much for the yoga. Free mats to use, and free health elixir shots at the end add a nice touch. Sarrah was friendly and welcoming, but kept getting left and right mixed up.

    Flow

The location is very tricky since the only number on the door is an entrance to an apt complex but youll be directed to follow the ramp around the corner where eventually you will see signs. The actual yoga studio is clean with high ceilings. Class should be advertised as bikram yoga because it was hot. Instructor was lovely and flow focused on stretching and breathing.

This was a great class. Yes, there were only three of us there so it might not be this way with a bigger class, but the instructor was very attentive and provided adjustments. I definitely worked up a sweat but I think that a beginner would still feel welcomed going to this class.

    JustReformer: STRENGTH

Just Like Om feels well, just like home. I love this place, all the instructors I’ve taken have been top notch and have offered challenging yet adaptable full body workouts. (Much preferable to New York Pilates which is nearly double the price for a pseudo-instagram friendly workout, although with the Christmas lights and gold marble wallpaper, Just Like Om still offers Instagram vibes ????) Angeline is fantastic and consistently delivers the toughest reformer classes ever. Her odd and dry sense of humor is also so amusing and gets me through the never ending pain of holding through 2 minute planks. Please check out Just Like Om and take a class with Angeline, Erin or Michele. Your abs will thank you.
