I thought a 30 min class would be easy since I found the Dash 28 a breeze, but I was so wrong. This was intense and I felt like I was going to throw up at times. Come to this on an empty stomach! Corinne always has the hardest workouts.

    Switch Playground Class

This might be the most entertaining class in NYC and perfect if you have workout ADD since its about 20 different stations for two minutes each. The trainers do a great job demonstrating the moves and keeping things moving. Youll sometimes lose a few seconds waiting for a demo but to avoid this, it helps to look at the station right after hours while you are at your own station so that you can anticipate whats next.

Liked Nicks electronic play list kept me motivated. This studio has new bikes. Has the usual Flywheel amenities. Water, towel, shower, bliss products. I find the width of the space between your legs bc the peddles are closer to the base maybe? To be too narrow. The inside of my heel kept hitting the bar in the middle and maybe bc Im a little bow legged? My knee kept turning the torq dial by accident and changing the torq. The new bikes have nice hydrolics in the seat adjustment. My left peddle came loose off the bike in the middle of the ride and I had to get off and change bikes. The manager was very professional and credited me my ride.

Sore af. I really wasnt sure what to make of this initially, given that there was *so* much front-loaded demonstration. The class turned out to be quite challenging, however (you also need to push yourself on your weights, FTR). Heather was great and the fact that all the demos were front loaded actually meant very short periods of rest in btwn circuits. Heather also corrected everyones form. Not the prettiest studio in town (but certainly nice locker / bathrooms!). Def among the best classes Ive taken on CP in terms of challenge.

Definitely a lot more intimate than the regular class, as in the instructor got to know everyone by name but just as challenging and fun. What I love about Fhitting room is the individualized attention, form correction, and the encouragement from the instructors. They dont just tell you to do something and leave you hanging. I feel like I learned things in here that I can take away to my own workouts. Bonus: Richs playlist is fire!!! It definitely helped me get through my last set of intervals.

One of the best non SLT Pilates classes I’ve EVER taken. I’m the biggest Pilates snob mostly bc Slt ruined me for normal Pilates but Cassandra’s class was incredible. Very effective. Even better than some burnout classes I’ve taken with other instructors. Plus she’s super sweet and really focuses on good form. She’s v attentive in class with adjustments. My only gripe is that I wish classes here were longer and had more planks but I think that’s just me.

Im a huge fan of Amanda. I wish I could take her classes more often but I always feel so alive and inspired with her instruction. My only concern would be that it can be a bit sad as a student when you know the instructor gives adjustments to select people at the end of class/ in savasana. This is not just an issue in this class but across the board.

I loved this instructor and Ill be back for more of her classes. I have to say something about the strange passive-aggressive responses the owner gives to CP reviewers. I scrolled down before coming to class and Ive never seen this kind of reaction from any studio. Im sure it comes from the best place but shes got to understand that she cant just make her customers behave like she wants them to behave. No, people usually arent comfortable asking questions mid class. And no, most arent going to interrupt the instructor and ask for challenging modifications. Im sure she means it when she says that she wants people to feel comfortable enough doing that kind of stuff, but its just not the norm and berating people for not taking her word for it is not cool. Some of her comments are downright mean. It feels like anyone who posts a review here should be ready to get on her bad side. Most reviews are good. For the rest- take the feedback! Or ignore them! Whatever. Just chill.

At least take the time slowly going through the circuits making sure of proper form in order to not enjoy oneself. He does alterations to those who are more advanced and modifications to those who cant quite keep up. Wonderful encouraging coach and I love going here.

Great class - its hot yoga in a dark candlelit room, its trendy, you do 3 flows, and it includes a bunch of ab work too. Youll be sweating. My only wish would be that there were other options for the 3rd flow (which at least was the most challenging for this class) that didnt involve balancing on one leg or doing a handstand - both of which my uncoordinated self struggles with :) It would be great to have more beginner level options for those more advanced moves.

Love this class, but I have to comment on the locker room. Love that they have showers unlike their other locations and Malin and Goetz products. However, there have been a few times now where the products were empty in the showers and I had to wait naked, in a towel, in the coed locker room for them to refill. They also only have one hair dryer. For $20, it would be of significant value add to their clients. Final thing is I'd prefer if they gave out more than one towel. With a coed bathroom especially, where you need to dry off and change immediately after showering, one towel doesn't really do the trick.

As a beginner to hot yoga, this was the perfect class. I felt like the vinyasa flows were a bit too fast but it was nice that we were given time to flow on our own. Sam came around and provided adjustments. The restorative section was just what I needed after a week of intense strength and cardio workouts and feeling sore. The heat works so well with the sequences. My spine feels so much better. To think I was going to pay for an infrared sauna session to get the effects that I got in this class! BIX (Off Peak)

Loved this profile, especially after the countless painfully dreadful BX classes that I’ve attended recently, all which have been cardio + core based with no KB/DB strength movement. Workout consisted of 4, 7min stations with a buy-in cardio goal, followed by an AMRAP in remaining time of 2 other moves: 1. Run 500m / 20 jump switch lunges (I subbed in DB Reverse lunges) / 20 Plank shoulder taps 2. Row 600m / 20 KB swings / 20 SDLHP 3. 40 DB lateral box step ups over the top / 20 DB push press / 20 DB DL 4. 60 bike cals / 20 burpees / 20 air squats (I subbed in racked Squats) Overall a great mix of lower + upper body work with a solid strength component + ample cardio. Awesome.

    Hot Power Hour

Kaity is the yoga teacher you need and want. She gets down and practices with you, she gently reminds you to do what's best for your body each day, she corrects your form so you feel the benefits of the practice, and she does it all with a soothing and encouraging vibe that creates a supportive room. Love her class so hard.

Ive been doing Barrys since 2015 - I love it - and Ive rarely had an instructor thats as hard as Brady for the floor sequence. Ive taken what I think are some of the hardest instructors there are but her floor sequences also involve quite a bit of cardio. I did a DF and was super sweaty. Would be scared to have actually done tread and floor!

Was in the hood after work and tried this studio out for thefirst time. Nice large clean heated studio. Vinyasa flow. Clear instruction. Free bath towel and Manduku mat usage. Although matts were a bit stinky so if it bothers you bring your own. They also have yoga sticky towels for rent. $3. Filtered water fountain. Small changing area with only one bathroom no showers. They give you a cold eucalyptus towel at the end which is really refreshing. Will definitely be back.

My first time going and it was really great. Matt was encouraging and thorough. I'm not a very good runner so i was a bit apprehensive about doing intervals but it was a very motivating environment. Great staff, too. Very warm and welcoming. Will def go back.

    METHOD 45

Good energy instructor. Free water, shoes, towels, shower facilities. Hate the new bikes. The space between the feet is narrower or maybe Im just knock kneed. I keep hitting the torque dial with my knees and changing the torque by accident. Would recommend that you wipe the weights / seats yourself before class. Theres always sweat still all over. The grip on my weight stank so bad when I picked it up I almost puked. Had to drop it and change weights.
