How it works

About this class

Yin Yoga, much like restorative yoga, is a calming practice of surrender that brings rest to the mind and nervous system. Yin poses are mostly seated or reclined and are held for long periods of time (typically 3-5 minutes) working deeply into the body to target connective tissues such as ligaments, joints, bones and fascia rather than large muscle groups. It’s a wonderful way to balance the more yang (active) style of life and asana practice if you are used to only taking vinyasa or flow-based classes. We highly recommend adding at least one yin or restorative class per week into your routine, your body and mind will thank you!

Like live for the spine and joints!
Yin with Allison
Great teacher and a great class to end the week. Easy to follow. Street parking though so might have to come a bit early. Will totally come back to this studio!

This class was perfect for the deep stretch I needed. Very relaxing and the instructor was incredibly helpful with making sure everyone had what they needed.
Yin with Allison
A super lovely, slow paced class full of mindfulness and stretching. Loved this! One tip: get to class at least 10 minutes early. The props (bolster pillows, blankets, and blocks) run out quickly and there weren’t enough to go around for the class size.

Really enjoyed this yin class, was restorative and Allison was a great instructor.
Yin with Allison
Great class but music was too loud at times to hear the instructor.
