About this class

This 45-minute workout on our cutting-edge water rowers provides an environment for people of all fitness levels to challenge themselves in a fast-paced and engaging total-body workout. Each rower features a monitor that provides instant feedback on pace, distance and calories. Working in teams - partners and as one crew - Rowing at Rival captures all the elements of competitive, on-water rowing by using a variety of drills, waves and races that quickly convert first-timers to devoted team members.

How to prepare

Classpassers should wear whatever clothes they are most comfortable working out in. Closed toed shoes must be worn in all of our classes. Rival doesn't provide cycle shoes and they are not required in our cycling classes. If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, you will not be allowed class entry. We highly encourage everyone to bring their own water bottle. Bottled water isn't sold at Rival, however water bottles are sold for $12 (not including tax). We also recommend bringing a lock to store your belongings in our lockers.

How to get there

Rival Fitness is located at 510 E. Pine Street in the center of the Pike-Pine corridor on Capitol Hill. Parking can be accessed in nearby parking garages or along residential streets. We highly recommend allowing yourself ample time to find parking so you can check in for class on time. If you are travelling by bus, the 11 Metro will get you here from downtown or Madison Valley, and the 49 will bring you here from the University District or North Broadway.

Danielle is patient, encouraging, down to earth, funny and a great instructor. Rowing class was a great way to challenge my body in a totally different way. I’m sure my core will be very sore tomorrow. Could feel it working my back muscles. .

What is ClassPass?

ClassPass is a new kind of gym membership that grants you access to thousands of different classes at studios and gyms in your city and around the world.

The number of classes you can take and the number of times you can visit a studio per month depends on which plan you're on. You can figure out which plan you're on by going to your Account Settings and looking under 'Your current plan.' With hundreds of studios in our ever-growing network, you're bound to always find a new class to enjoy. When your cycle renews, you can go back and revisit those favorites yet again!
