About this class

We’ve added more to our already popular indoor rowing classes. In this 50-minute workout, you’ll be on and off the rower. While on, we’ll do sprints, endurance, and power drills. While off, we’ll bring in weights–be prepared for push-ups, lunges, core work, and so much more.

Rival ROW with Kenzie
Love Kenzie’s classes and always enjoy the rival row class. Can’t wait to do it again.
Rival ROW with Anna
Enjoyable class using water rower intervals as a base for HIIIT. Could use more guidance around appropriate weights for various exercises and a bit more energy in the room (encouragement, music selection, etc).
Rival ROW with Anna
Good class, could have benefited from more guidance on weight ranges for exercises.
Rival ROW with Anna
Awesome class with the right amount of variety. Anna is a great instructor!
Rival ROW with Kenzie
Much prefer the Wednesday class. IMO, this one is a bit manic for my level of love for HIIT. I've done crossfit and HIIT WODs, but squeezing in sets in between rowing feels like a bit much, particularly when the instructions feel like 'just do these 126 moves, ready go!' Then again I could be a total novice.
Rival ROW with Anna
Fantastic class, and Anna was awesome!
Rival ROW with Hannah
The class was supposed to be fifty minutes but the instructor stopped after forty. It was ten points (an expensive class), so I felt a bit ripped off. The exercises themselves were good and the instructor was friendly. Just wish it was the fully fifty.

So hard!
Rival ROW with Hannah
Hannah is a motivating and challenging instructor. This class is a great way to start your Saturday morning!

How to prepare

Classpassers should wear whatever clothes they are most comfortable working out in. Closed toed shoes must be worn in all of our classes. Rival doesn't provide cycle shoes and they are not required in our cycling classes. If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, you will not be allowed class entry. We highly encourage everyone to bring their own water bottle. Bottled water isn't sold at Rival, however water bottles are sold for $12 (not including tax). We also recommend bringing a lock to store your belongings in our lockers.

How to get there

Rival Fitness is located at 510 E. Pine Street in the center of the Pike-Pine corridor on Capitol Hill. Parking can be accessed in nearby parking garages or along residential streets. We highly recommend allowing yourself ample time to find parking so you can check in for class on time. If you are travelling by bus, the 11 Metro will get you here from downtown or Madison Valley, and the 49 will bring you here from the University District or North Broadway.
