How to prepare

Classpassers should wear whatever clothes they are most comfortable working out in. Closed toed shoes must be worn in all of our classes. Rival doesn't provide cycle shoes and they are not required in our cycling classes. If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, you will not be allowed class entry. We highly encourage everyone to bring their own water bottle. Bottled water isn't sold at Rival, however water bottles are sold for $12 (not including tax). We also recommend bringing a lock to store your belongings in our lockers.

How to get there

Rival Fitness is located at 510 E. Pine Street in the center of the Pike-Pine corridor on Capitol Hill. Parking can be accessed in nearby parking garages or along residential streets. We highly recommend allowing yourself ample time to find parking so you can check in for class on time. If you are travelling by bus, the 11 Metro will get you here from downtown or Madison Valley, and the 49 will bring you here from the University District or North Broadway.

Cycle and Core with Danielle
Danielle is my favorite mixed method instructor. I just love the feeling of absolute exhaustion and "good effing work" I get after each of her classes!?
Cycle and Core with Katie
Katie was great provided enough detail for those newer to spin class, while calling more advanced members to push themselves. Big gym, compared to many 1-2 room local spots. One star off because yoga mats were ick, and the floor hadnt been swept between classes. If you bring your lock, make sure the shackle (metal loop) is long the lockers locking loop are oddly deep and dont fit smaller padlocks. If you opt to drive, leave early enough to find street parking (zone 21 or paid til 8), unless you know something I dont about better nearby parking options.
Cycle and Core with Katie
Good class but did not like the all-alternative music playlist.
Cycle and Core with Danielle
Not a corporate spin class, just really great spinning! Danielle was awesome. She pushed us but also gave us options for different fitness levels. The description mentions yoga but this is minimal in this class.
Cycle and Core with Danielle
I loved the addition of arm work!
Cycle and Core with Katie
Good workout
Cycle and Core with Danielle
Great instructor. Makes you sweat :)
Cycle and Core with Danielle
Danielle is my favorite cycle instructor; her classes are just as hard and effective as the other major cycling studios. Plus she picks great music!!
Cycle and Core with Danielle
I had 2 bikes in a row where the cages were misthreaded
Cycle and Core with Danielle
Bikes are different from spin bikes - no special shoes needed. Danielle was a good instructor although it was hard to understand what she was saying at times. The core workout after did some work.
