I’ve done CrossFit before many years ago and had a great experience. But this time was not so great for someone who would be classified as new to CrossFit. We rowed 5 sets of 1000m with 3 min rest for the WOD which is a great workout, but the coach didn’t help at all with form, and incorrect form can lead to all kinds of tendon pain which I had later that night (I actually had to ice it I was so uncomfortable all night) I’m not saying soreness would have been avoided or prevented, but I would have felt safer and more aware if I were coached and corrected. I don’t think CrossFit belongs on ClassPass it’s too risky. Most CrossFit gyms require an orientation class for new comers and no one asked me if I was new nor did they have me sign the waiver until after the workout. I’m sure this is a great gym but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone new to CrossFit. Two stars because I appreciate the tough workout.

Never experienced CrossFit before. Great workout! Trainer was extremely welcoming and tentative. The regulars were so kind and made me feel comfortable. Definitely coming back!

It combines constant variation, intensity and functional movements in Workouts-of-the-Day (WOD) to produce dramatic changes in strength, stamina and body shape. Please bring a towel and water bottle to class. Men and women's restrooms have storage shelves for your belongings.

How to get there

The gym is located on the corner of Admiral and 42nd, directly across from Metropolitan Market. There is street parking on the Safeway side of 42nd Ave, throughout the surrounding neighborhood and a $1-2 parking garage directly behind the gym.

What is ClassPass?
