Great fundamentals class even if you’re an experienced yogi. Gina was very welcoming and seemed to be very attentive especially to the newbies. I enjoyed this class for a really good stretch but if you’re new to yoga, I think this would be a great start.

Moderate paced class with simple combinations. Sean is encouraging and gives great tips on improving technique. Michael played live piano music so it made the class especially fun to dance as the sound was excellent for a livestream class.

    Vinyasa All Levels

Great class. I liked the instructors guidance and to do what your body allows and not to focus on others, judgement free. I used to be so nervous going to yoga when I first started for fear of sticking out as not knowing what I was doing, but she gives pretty clear direction. Maybe not doable for a someone brand new, but great if you know the basics.

    Exhale Barre

Alex is one of the best. He remembers names of his regulars; is attentive during class, constantly correcting form; wastes no time during class (ie quick transitions / no annoying downtime or drawn out stretching = more work done in the hour); always gives us a ton of movement variety (we did 5 different thigh positions and 3 sets of glutes, 2 standing / 1 floor); provides a longer weighted arm series than other instructors; multiple + innovative core sets using the barre, band + ball, and most importantly, challenges the muscles + definitely makes sure that we get a burn! I will say though that I was disgusted at how filthy the studio was today - hair all over the floor and clinging to my barre socks. But class was awesome.

HOT HIIT 60 - Doors Lock 5 Min Before

My first time taking this class with Samuel because his class is always full - he’s amazing!! This is the hardest hot hiit cardio pilates class I’ve ever taken, and he makes it super fun, hilarious and positive. His class starts with the tough HIIT cardio stuff first followed by more classic pilates moves at the end, which works better for me because I have the most energy in the beginning of the class (some other instructors are the opposite, it’s really up to your preference). His music is also mostly fun 90s throwbacks. Highly recommend!

    Power Vinyasa PM - HOT

Claudia was great instructor! Really easy going vibes but led us through an awesome flow. Definitely a fast paced flow, but I really felt like I had a good workout. The studio itself is clean, but a bit cramped. The locker room is teeny tiny, barely 4 people can be in there at a time, and there are no lockers or cubbies to store your stuff. There is also a Tae Kwon Do/Karate studio downstairs which made the floors and walls rattle a ton, making it a bit hard to concentrate during the practice.

    H.I.I.T. the Deck!

I was the only person in the class for the day, and the instructor was great about correcting my form to make sure I was doing everything properly. It was a great workout and really hard. You will definitely get a great sweat! Each card suit was a different exercise - 2 lower body and 2 upper body. The number on the card was the number of reps. The instructor pulls 4 cards each round, one from each suit. I didn’t make it through the whole deck by myself but I got pretty far.

Absolutely wonderful if I could give 10 stars I would! Shell is an incredible instructor and the class flew by. She inspires mindfulness through each of the poses and tranquility through movements. You get such a great workout and are able to fully reset your mind to tackle the day ahead. So so wonderful. Vinyasa Flow + Restorative

This class was a great balance of vinyasa flow and restorative postures, which I really appreciated! It started off as a good workout and I felt relaxed by the end. We stayed in the restorative poses for a longer amount of time, so I felt the stretches. Megan was very warm and helpful with postures throughout the class! I will definitely return.

    Hot Bikram 90

My first time taking Bikram and it was one of the hardest workouts ever - it is as much a mental exercise to ignore the discomfort of the heat and sweating as it is physically demanding. But I loved it. As a beginner I felt 90 mins was way too long and I will take the 60 min options until Im more used to the sequence and heat/humidity.

    BDC Fit: Pilates Mat

Great especially for beginners! I’ve been doing classical may pretty regularly for about six months but jumped into a class doesn’t really deconstruct each exercise as you go. I know the classical sequence now, but this class was a great opportunity for thinking about the smaller range of exercises that Julia focused on, and learning the transitions that I usually fumble through in my regular class.

    Hatha Yoga

I’m giving 5 stars because I love the idea of outdoor yoga in the park and want these folks to continue and thrive, but I do have some suggestions for improving the class. First, the teacher should have a sign or some kind of marker to help people locate the class amid the hundreds of people milling around the meeting place. And the class should remain at the meeting place until 5 min before class, rather than walking off at 15 min before class to a remote part of Sheep’s Meadow. I arrived 12 min prior to class and couldn’t find anyone until class actually started and I saw a distant group in downward dog. During class, the teacher was hard to hear and seemed self-conscious about raising her voice over the sounds of the park. During transitions, it would be helpful if the teacher announced the names of the poses first, so experienced yogis can keep to a smooth flow, rather than going into detailed positioning for each limb for beginners and only later stating “warrior 2”.

    Figure 4 Barre (Open)

She is the best instructor there hands down. Fortunately most the instructors are good. The Class was small today due to a holiday weekend and the energy she possessed was excellent for just five students. She cared about every student their form and making sure it was a hard and challenging class. I always feel like I get my moneys worth and leave feeling like I got an incredible work out. Not to mention this is the nicest bar studio with incredible locker room showers and service.
