About this studio
The Yoga Trail brings Yoga outdoors reconnecting people with Nature in Central Park, and cultivating consciousness for the environment and harmony within. They offer Vinyasa Yoga classes open to all fitness levels, combining breath and movement to cleanse and recharge the body while providing an energizing opportunity to re-connect with Nature. Unlock the tension in your body and relieve stress while building strength with a mindful focus. Each class ends with final relaxation and meditation. The classes are meant to establish the foundation of the yoga practice with an emphasis on breathing and healthy pose alignment. They are open to all fitness levels and have a meditative approach but will still involve a good amount of movement and some sweat. Go join them on the grass!theyogatrail.com
How to prepare
- Please arrive early and allow time to find the meeting location inside Central Park. - Wear comfortable clothing in layers so you can adjust to the weather. - Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach and bare feet. - Bring your yoga mat, water, sunscreen, and something warm for final relaxation. - A limited amount of mats are available for $2 rent, please reserve yours if needed. - Please talk to your instructor about any pre-existing physical condition. Teachers will do their best to provide modifications to suit your needs.
How to get there
• Meeting point is 15 min before class in front of the cafe Le Pain Quotidien inside Central Park, north side of Sheep Meadow. From there we'll walk together to the class location. Please arrive early so that class may start on time without disruption. • Closest park entrance is W69th St. From there just walk along the path until you hit the major road with cyclists, cross it and keep walking with the big lawn (Sheep Meadow) on your right until you reach the cafe.
