    Slow Burn Hot Mat Pilates

Great class! I really felt the burn as someone who has been working out for years, but the class was still adaptable for beginners. One suggestion I have for this studio is to mic up the teacher, he was giving instructions at a volume totally appropriate for mat Pilates (where you don’t want to be yelled at like a bootcamp class) but even though the music wasn’t loud either, the acoustics in the room didn’t really allow me to hear him when he was on the opposite side. I messed up the first leg of the glute series because I couldn’t really hear him. I would still come back because the class was effective and well thought out.

Marin was great, such a good class! However, the second part of class should have been in the middle of the room, not by the exit, since we were given a choice to stay or go. As I was trying to clean up my mat and props to leave, a blonde lady (perhaps the owner) abruptly said to leave everything as is and just go, since I was “such a distraction.” Left a bad taste in my mouth and was not a nice way to end the class.
