Sarah’s class was the toughest class I’ve very taken at Y7 (both around NYC and in LA). She had awesome, unique flow sequences and challenging modifications for advanced students. I appreciated her fast pace even during the “down time” in between flows. It felt like not a minute of class was wasted. I hope to find her on the UES schedule more often. Can’t wait to take a class with her again!

Loved this class! Ashley was an awesome leader. The flow was challenging and very well paced. I typically don’t like hot yoga but this was at a perfect level that made me feel more flexible and invigorated. And the music was everything!! Probably not for beginners but if you already like yoga, this is such a fun and unique way to take your practice to the next level.

5 stars for Amy shes amazing BUT THIS STUDIO oh my god. Its too small you guys need to move. Nothing more relaxing then starting a class with everyone yapping...when did y7 start making this acceptable? Ive been shushed before and now everyone just talks. Trying to exit the class to go back to my life is ridiculous. I IMMEDIATELY lose my relaxed state as I exit into the studio to a sea of girls who have no idea how to be human. You guys have 10 locations and 100 teachers you have money please move locations for flatiron.

    Exhale Barre

The ONLY exhale instructor I’ll take anymore, especially now that these classes cost a Whooping 12 credits, and the level of challenge has drastically dropped to almost a basic level, now catered to unfit, out of shape ppl. Prepare to work in his class. Alex is non stop, wasting zero time in the full hour - we covered 4 thigh positions including a glute intermission, then a set of glute work at both the barre + floor, topped off with 2 sets plank work, rather lengthy flat back + round back core sets, adding to the opening arm work that included 14 movements. Awesomely Killer

First time at this studio. Very nice and great teacher. Super normal, which is rare for yoga lol. Very non-judge mental and easy to follow. But she did not demonstrate in the front of the room, so basic knowledge of poses is recommended. Only negative was the ceiling fan was covered in black dust. It was super gross and distracting every time I had to look up.

Tara is always lovely, genuine and fantastic. However, the ridiculous girls behind the front desk made ENDLESS noise, laughing and chattering loudly and walking unnecessarily loudly. Dana put together really great sequences for gently opening up the body and stimulating circulation. Really appreciated her encouraging energy and inspiring words at the beginning of class. Also loved that the studio has lots of windows that let in great natural light and found the scent of eucalyptus in the air refreshing. Front desk could’ve been warmer and more welcoming, but I guess even yogis need a day off from letting their inner light of love shine.

What I love about Nicole's class is that she explains the poses in details and the pace is slower so that the students can really focus on the right alignments, not just quickly flow through the sequences. Her sequences of poses are well thought out. Even though it is a foundation class, it is challenging because when you are really focusing on engaging the right muscles to achieve the right alignment make you work extra hard and sweat a lot! Nicole is also very friendly and making people new to yoga feel at ease and not intimidated. She goes around to correct forms and give modifications for people with injuries. A wonderful practice!

    Flow 3

That was the most comprehensive yoga class I've been to in a long time. There was ample time and attention given to each pose (from lunges, to shoulder stands, to chair, to flow, to head stands, to happy baby...), and including several repetitions of each.

I liked this instructor more the second time around; she was much warmer. However, my one piece of feedback is that she could benefit from touching you more gently; she kinda just brashly pushes you into a pose or gives you a rough massage at the end. It threw me off guard.

Absolutely wonderful if I could give 10 stars I would! Shell is an incredible instructor and the class flew by. She inspires mindfulness through each of the poses and tranquility through movements. You get such a great workout and are able to fully reset your mind to tackle the day ahead. So so wonderful. Thank youuuuu Shell!

    Surya Hot Power

Jason has a teaching technique that equals pure art. Very uncommon in a world where a lot of yoga teachers bark out positions instead of demonstrating them. Totally worth it.
