I love his energy, his smile, his humor, and his playlist - it’s the best!! What I love is that he makes sure the movements align perfectly with the beat of the music, something I’ve noticed other teachers don’t often do. So it makes this intense workout more fun and pleasurable. My body has transformed, and I feel like a queen! So grateful for Mark and his class 🥰

see all reviewsMrs. Voshell was sooo nice! I came in late after my bus decided to pass me by, and Mrs. Voshell was like, “Come on in!” not the slightest bit annoyed with me being 10 minutes late. During the workout she made gentle adjustments without shaming me or making me feel uncomfortable. When I modified a pose to make it easier, I asked her if it was cheating and she laughed and said no. I have Fibromyalgia, so sometimes teachers are confused as to why I can’t hold certain poses, but Mrs. Voshell was not like that. It’s a relief to not feel pressured. Great class!

Loved the playlist too - it really helped you push when you couldn't take anymore...which was often 😂 This class is brutal! But that's what Physique 57 is. I honestly think it's one of the hardest workouts out there. I'm anticipated being sore for a few days to come...the good sore. Will be back for her class again soon!

I have been to other Pure Barre classes around NY and California and they don’t ask for them so it really seems like a way to get money which is not cool. I like that the class is smaller and more intimate. I do wish, however, that some of the poses were more slower in pace - just to keep up with the breathing. Overall, I enjoyed it and will be back.

I usually go to the Central Park location but decided to try this studio instead. I wasn’t aware that it’s privately owned and not part of the other Pure Barre locations, so be prepared to sign a separate waiver. They open 30 minutes before class, which is good to know if you arrive early and find yourself waiting outside. Unlike other locations, they don’t have lockers—just cubbies for your belongings. The front desk person seemed a bit annoyed when I arrived early, but it was a cold day, and I didn’t want to wander around just to pass the time.
