She constantly monitored my form and offered corrections when needed—she was very encouraging. There were other instructors in the class who stopped their workouts to assist me with the setup for floor work and other exercises and were also very encouraging. Overall, I’ve never felt more supported in a studio I’ve been to for the first time. I highly recommend taking your first barre class with Kelsey. She was truly helpful.

Each song has its own combo and rhythm so theres plenty of variety and it’s not too hard to keep up. The class also ends with a slower cool down song where you stretch out. She was so sweet and friendly and really took her time breaking down the specific dance moves which was much needed for someone like me who doesn’t pick up the moves first time around. I wish the class was two hours long because class ended just as we got the hang of it! She teaches different styles and this time we learned a Kuwaiti version. I wore workout clothes and yoga socks but next time I’ll bring a scarf to wrap around my hips and maybe some ballet shoes without the grip on the bottom like my socks had.
