The class was good but I was really not a fan of this instructors adjustment style. I do a lot of barre and yoga so I’m no stranger to hands on adjustments and generally appreciate them, but she would just, like, sneak up behind me and aggressively manhandle my body. Like, if I need to tuck more or flex my foot instead of point, just use your words! I don’t need you to do it for me! And in this strangely aggressive way. It pretty much ruined the class for me.

About this studio

The Pure Barre technique is low-impact, protecting your joints by avoiding any bouncing or jumping. Each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to create long, lean muscles without bulk. The technique works to defy gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up! Please be aware classes start on time and clients should arrive 15 minutes early. Doors will lock at the start of class. Socks are required!

How to prepare

1.New students must arrive 15 mins early to fill out paperwork, regardless of having been to other Pure Barres 2.We cannot accommodate anyone who is more than 5 mins late 3.Pants, legging or capris (no shorts) + top that covers midriff + socks required 4.Shoes & cell phones are not allowed in studio 5.Please let the instructor know of any injuries 6.Pregnant students: always consult with your doctor before beginning a new exercise routine and alert your teacher for modifications
