How to Get Massage Clients

Last updated: January 13, 2026

If only getting massage clients was as easy as snapping your fingers and counting to three! While we can’t wave a magic wand and find your clients for you, we can provide helpful tips and tricks from massage therapists who’ve been there. Read on to learn more about marketing your massages and finding clients.

Set Up Your Google My Business Listing

Your Google My Business listing is the listing on the right hand side of google when someone searches for your name. It’s also what shows up on google maps when someone types in “massage therapy near me.” This listing is vital for bringing in foot traffic and local customers.

Setting up your Google My Business listing is pretty easy, but it does take a bit of time to be authenticated, so make sure you sign up as soon as possible.

List Your Inventory on ClassPass

Did you know that you can list your inventory for free on the ClassPass app? Thousands of massage therapists list their inventory, which allows ClassPass subscribers to book directly via the app. This simple maneuver will help you maximize your revenue.

Generate Reviews & Build a Referral Program.

One of the best ways to build a clientele is based on word of mouth, both digitally and in real life. Make sure that you’re generating reviews from your local clients. Additionally, your new client likely has a friend that also needs a massage therapist, so let her know that if she refers a friend to you, you’ll give her a small discount on her next service.

Partner with Another Local Business

Is there a juice shop nearby who you could partner with? Utilizing an already established business's existing client base is a great way to reach your ideal audience. Just make sure that the business you’re collaborating with has a customer base that you’d like to attract. For example, partnering with a dive bar might not be the best option for your new massage business partnership.
