Yoga By Degrees brings modern comfort to the ancient practice of yoga, there you can satisfy both body and mind with a workout that tones and strengthens both. COME AS YOU ARE...LEAVE AS YOU WANT TO BE. At Yoga by Degrees, they like to sweat so they turn up the heat in their classes. Heat during yoga practice has numerous benefits. It allows for a deeper cleanse of the body and boosts the body’s circulation. Heat loosens up the muscles and detoxifies the organs. Heat allows for greater range of motion in joints, muscles, ligaments and other supporting structures of the body. Heat also has a calming effect on the mind and when the mind slows down and the heart rate picks up you have the perfect combination for a hatha yoga practice. Their classes are heated from 80º F to 105º F.

How to prepare

Wear comfortable clothing you can move around in. Drink plenty of water before coming to class. Because all of Yoga by Degree classes are heated, you will sweat a lot; so while you may also want to drink water during class, it’s a good idea to hydrate yourself prior to coming to class. It is best to practice yoga on as empty a stomach as possible. Give yourself a window of at least 2 to 3 hours of not eating prior to yoga practice and try to avoid eating heavy, hard-to-digest meals right before class.

Great studio. Excellent class that was very relaxing. The teacher has a lovely presence. The studio is clean and the staff is friendly. I have never been to yoga by degrees before, but I will be back, and will also check out some of their other locations.
