Flowing from the center of the body, Pilates provides overall strength, along with a sense of calmness and internal focus. Utilizing Pilates apparatus (Cadillac Table, Chair, and Reformer) Marathon Pilates Nashville offers a variety of options, from group classes to private, as well as individually tailored Pilates sessions.

How to prepare

Pilates builds strength, flexibility and lean muscle tone with an emphasis on lengthening the body and aligning the spine. The Pilates Reformer is an exercise machine used to incorporate the Pilates exercise technique for a challenging and intense workout. Springs, leverage and body weight are used as resistance while performing movements targeting specific muscle groups. Using springs for resistance, there is no impact on joints making Reformer Pilates an option for everyone. *Please note class levels and prerequisites when booking classes

Super easy class, mostly stretching. Supposed to be intermediate and yet I didnt get much of a workout at all.

More focused on speed and weight than alignment. There were a few times that the instruction wasnt clear and folks in class were putting knees/backs at risk without any correction. Love the studio, Anissa isnt a good match for what Im looking for

Hello! Thank you so much for your feedback! I am sorry this was not a good class for you. I believe we were trying some more advanced moves in class that day and they were modified. But likely the first time many of the students had tried these. I endeavor to challenge clients and sometimes with learning new things its not going to be perfect so we have to focus on learning first and then refining as we continue on. My triple A class is targeted and faster paced. I hope you find other teachers that work better for you. Pilates Reformer: AAA with Lindsey
Lindsay is a great teacher, she is fun, lighthearted, hilarious and takes the extra time to make sure you have had a good work out and feel satisfied. It's a great example of what Pilates work outs are supposed to achieve, it feels good while you are working your muscles because you are relaxed enough to work the parts that aren't normally worked! I really enjoy her class and have actually noticed a difference in my posture and tone!
