Freehouse Fitness Studio is a creator of new workouts and offers uniquely designed cardio + sculpting classes that will make you sweat, shake and smile. Featuring bungee bands, rebounders (trampolines) and reformers, they've got a variety of workouts that are crazy-effective and fun. Enjoy a well-rounded workout experience in a beautiful new studio space.

How to prepare

Grip socks are required for reformer classes (you can purchase a pair at the studio or bring your own) and band/rebounder classes are done in bare feet. They have lockers, cubbies, a water cooler and water bottles for purchase, and two (2) showers with toiletries and towel service for your convenience. You may also want to bring a small personal towel for sweat in their rebounding classes.

How to get there

The studio is located on South Street, between 14th (Broad) & 15th street. They are located at street level - you can't miss it!

Dana is awesome! She gives so much attention and help to her clients it makes you realize how much other studios are ignoring your form and letting you do things wrong. And I really like how much she'll come over next to you to demonstrate moves when she knows you are new so you can better see what she's talking about. It makes for a great workout!

I love standing ab work, so I liked that this class incorporated sections of that. And those balance disks are no joke! Had a slightly hard time hearing the instructor over the music, but that might have been because I was right under a speaker. I love that this studio has added more instructors and more classes. It's one of my favorites, and apparently everyone else's too, because for a while there it was almost impossible to get into some of the classes. I don't have to do quite so much stalking to find openings now. :)

Sorry to hear about your back! You mentioned to the instructor as class was starting that you were actively experiencing sciatic pain if I'm not mistaken so I would definitely advise you be cautious about taking group workouts right now as that is a serious condition requiring a lot of TLC. The no-impact nature of rebounding is super back-friendly (unless you have an active injury) so please feel free to contact me to discuss the best workouts for you right now. The description does say that the class includes jumping on the rebounder so keep an eye on our descriptions and call with any questions! Thanks. Dana

I really love this studio, and I've been here for a variety of classes and I've loved them all--except the two rebounder classes I've taken. Moves are not explained in any depth, and sequences change so fast the class moves much more like choreography than cardio. The difficulty lies in the quick changes of moves and memorizing sequences, not in exertion. This class would be good for those who love dance or weights, but not heavy cardio.

Thanks for taking classes with us and we love offering a variety of classes because everyone likes or needs something different! Rebounding is a serious cardio workout when done properly as our sweaty cardio clients will attest to ;) but it definitely takes more than 2 classes to get acclimated to a new workout, especially one as full-body as this! We always say have fun in the meantime and it gets harder as you get the jumps right but if you don't enjoy the style of workout we totally understand and are happy to have other classes on our schedule you enjoy!
