Hot Yoga 90 with Colleen
Colleen led a class that invited us to push beyond our flexibility or choose to meet ourselves where we are. It could have been a little hotter, but this Bikram session was particularly calming and uplifting thanks to Colleen.

Challenging class - great workout and sweat

Poor instruction using negative feedback prior to offering corrections - “don’t do this, do this.” Instructor was far from present - called attention to the motorcycle sounds outside and interrupted the class to stop someone from whistling in the lobby. Began the class by aggressively wiping down the mirrors during breathing exercises and carried on a loud conversation outside the room during shavasana. Brought negative energy to the room - complained about three other instructors in the studio not fixing the toilets in the bathroom - tried to use the example as motivation to “just get stuff done in life,” but was tactless and distracting. I almost actually walked out but instead decided to focus on my own practice while actively tuning out the instructor. Maybe the instructor and I were just on two different wavelengths, but this seemed more like soul cycle than yoga.

Hot Yoga 90 with Justin
It was my first time doing this, so I didn’t really know what to expect. Everyone knew what they were doing in the class so it was aimed more towards them, not really beginners. But I did feel good after and it was a different type of workout.

The teacher called people out and wasn’t very nice. I did not enjoy her vibe. Will not be taking her class again.
