see all reviewsOh my god, this was the most fun I’ve had before 8am on a Saturday morning. Sean is such a fun instructor and offers excellent cueing and adjustments. The playlist was excellent (2000s pop, house remixes, etc) and overall the vibes were high. Class was moderately challenging and you can definitely make it harder with heavier weights. I can’t wait to go back!

For it being my first time at this studio, I really appreciated how welcoming Celine was. I was on the struggle bus in the beginning, but as the class went on I caught on and was able to keep up with the rest of the class. I love Yogabox but there’s a culture of people leaving before savasana and bringing/using phones in the studio room that can be disruptive and frustrating as another student. It’d be great if these sort of things could be more discouraged.

Loved that this practice was grounded in the eight limbs and oriented around a peak pose. Also LOVED the options to progress through layers of postures throughout. I *can* see how some choices (eg modern poppy music, fast pace with few alignment cues) might be a little polarizing because they feel untraditional or overwhelming. If you are open to a new modality and familiar with common poses, I think this is a super engaging, healthily challenging format. Teaching comes in all forms! (One small piece of constructive feedback for the instructor: please don’t cut savasana short! I would guess that today’s was 30 seconds or less. It felt abrupt, and I’d rather have sacrificed a closing posture than lost out on final rest. Thank you!)

I’m not sure how much extra aerobic benefit we’re getting by not having at least 2 minutes between pods, but worth mentioning as this feels pretty intermediate / advanced.
