Such a relaxing flow. Jenna is a calm and welcoming instructor. Even though the flow builds a little heat, the room gets kind of cold during the yin poses. I'd recommend bringing a sweatshirt.

    Foundations

I stumbled on this class last year I have Ehlers and unfortunately, as painful as every day things can be the stronger my body and core muscles are the better I’m able to manage every aspect of my life that Elhers effects. I have a rare genetic disorder, called fragile x syndrome that has no cure, in order to limit the effects of the genetic disorder. I have to stay healthy as I’ve gotten older. that’s gotten harder being hyper Flexible, stretching has always been the best way for me to relieve pain and motion is lotion for your joints whether you have a genetic disorder or not. With that said, I struggled to make myself go to a gym or even go for a walk so my daughter joined ballet a few years ago and because she’s on the autism spectrum, I had to essentially learn ballet myself to help her.. I found that ballet stretching specifically opened up my hips, every muscle that I’ve struggled with. In the Bay Area there is not just one type of workout and when I found honor bar and joined their beginner class, I fell in love.!!! Because I’m prone to injury. I have to go slow and this class is perfect!!!. I walk out of there feeling better than I walked in which it shouldn’t be if you know anything about having fibromyalgia and Ehlers. Highly highly highly recommend and make sure to take it slow listen to your body.

Rae is awesome! She taught a very thorough class, and was very knowledgeable about the body and how to target the areas we were working on. I'd definitely take her class again. It was intense at times but I came out feeling very relaxed and sleepy 😁

Terri's class is super chill and non judgmental but focuses on the fundamentals to build a strong foundation. She throws in some good tips and useful explanations as well as some fun moves like heel clacks and skating tips. Looking forward to taking more classes with her and becoming a better heels dancer ^^

It's such a fun class! Everyone was so nice and encouraging. The space itself is open and spacious, with a large mirror and lots of poles. They provide rags and cleaner for the pole and yoga mats. The beginner basics class is set at a good pace, allowing you to practice each movement and practice the technique. They do a brief warm-up before class, but I recommend doing a gentle stretch/warm-up before you get there. Highly recommend this class!!!

    Intro to Krav Maga

I was not sure what to expect at all when I booked this class, but I was surprised to find I really enjoyed it! I am a woman with not a lot of arm strength! I have taken Karate in the past (as a kid), and did not like it because the punching hurt my hands. But Krav Maga techniques do not! Also, I already felt more confident walking home feeling like I had some idea how to defend myself!

Karla was great! The classes are no bigger than 6 people so she's able to tailor to everyone's personal needs and does a wonderful job with adjustments and using props when needed. The class is more foundational, which I think is great if you need to focus on form, and movement with breath work - which I always find a refresher is needed every once in a while. The lower body work is always challenging to me in any case lol. Additionally, the workers at this gym are exceptionally nice to boot. My partner and I will definitely be coming back!!
